Three Portraits in 3D

I tried a very interesting Blender plugin that lets you draw 3D forms by hand. It’s quite unstable, it crashes Blender frequently and only works with an older version of the software. But it’s so much fun! The plugin is based on Grease Pencil (Blender’s 2D drawing tool) and uses Geometry Nodes to convert Grease Pencil strokes into meshes.

There are two main modes: Tubes and Fill. The first converts drawn lines into tubes, while the second turns them into shapes.

The UI is a bit confusing, but this way of creating 3D objects feels surprisingly natural. It’s definitely easier than traditional sculpting or modeling, especially for achieving a cartoonish look. I nearly turned off smoothness and added some bump noise. I really like that result and can’t wait to experiment more with it.

It would be great to see an updated version of this plugin compatible with newer Blender releases.

The second one looks the finest. I take a liking to smoothness and so I always leave my character with very smooth, shiny surfaces kikiki.
It's cool to see someone who doesn't really fancy those smoothness but desires some roughness in his work.
