OVERVIEW
So yeah, I am not about to go the old-fashioned way😌 by starting with…
“Hello, My name is Agnes”. But I guess you know my name now tho🥰,
So Who is this mysterious Gen Z Female?🤔🤔 Agnes Soyinka Kigigha is a Nigerian Midwife that got tired of the low pay😔, and work mental stress in Nigeria and decided to find herself on hive🙂
She has always loved writing ✍️ , as well as connecting with people 🫂👫,so if you are reading this just know, you are my personal dairy.
What does Agnes love? Listening to music 🎶, of course writing and making people happy, and that is why I decided to be a Midwife👩🔬🤰in the first place to bring smile to people’s faces😁.
It feels very nice bringing a new being to the world and to see how the world reacts to seeing a newborn baby 🤱 with smiles and genuine happiness and joy. “And what could be more beautiful than bringing new life into the world.” Says “Barbara Katz Rothman”
I loved that feeling so much🥰 but now overshadowed by the workload, imagine being the only “Midwife” in the ward taking care more than 5 patients at once, all labour cases, the passion quickly turned to me constantly fighting for my life,🥹😣
And yeah, I developed health issues😖 during the process of making people healthy and safe aside that, I developed lack of purpose, 😞 during the process of making people happy, I lost myself, I lost my spark😪.
There was constant pressure from Hospital Management, Senior colleagues and some patients, so I gave up on bedside Nursing😔😔, Don’t get me wrong, I still love Nursing but I also enjoy traveling the world, writing, cooking, meditating and having time for my family and loved ones🧑❤️🧑.
So welcome to the diary of a Nigerian Female Midwife who is trying to explore the other things I love and hopefully find my spark again, Will I go back to bedside Nursing?🫣 That is a question even I can’t answer for now.
But before then, I would love to know and connect with you🤗 especially women in the reproductive age and educate women on family planning including child spacing, Trying to Conceive women, pregnant women, nursing mothers and care of the newborn as well as immunization.

I graduated March 2023 and been actively working, I worked in Benin for one year at Ponders Ends Hospital Benin City, worked there for 6 weeks then got a job at St Philomena Catholic hospital worked there for almost here alongside La Felhz Specialist Hospital (I was working in two places at a time).
I did a couple of other businesses (Sold hairs, did china importation, made people’s hair).
