I now look forward to Sundays because It’s the day I have enough rest or spend quality time with friends. Sunday naps always hit differently too, I get to sleep for hours without any guilt. It’s also the day I cook in bulk for the week or do my laundry.
Adulting has made Sundays very therapeutic for me and I’m loving every bit of it.

This Sunday was a slow and calm one. I didn’t really do much. I woke up early to prepare for church with my sisters. Service was for 8am and we made it just in time. I attended a different church from the one I’m used to because I’m currently in another city.
I particularly enjoyed this service because of how time conscious they were. Their first service starts by 8am and it’s slated to end by 10am. At 9:40am, the lead pastor already brought the service to a close. I found this really impressive and even considering the recent happenings surrounding churches in Nigeria, church services shouldn’t take as much time anymore.

It wasn’t so surprising to also see that most of its members and leaders are youths.
I loved their praise and worship session and the message was power filled. Overall the service was 10/10.
After church, we got back home to make food. Typical Sunday afternoon food in naij is always rice and stew and that was what we had😅. Ours came with a twist, instead of the regular stew and rice, i decided to make rice and vegetable sauce with grilled chicken.
It was so yummy everyone had to go for another round of serving.

I napped after for quite some time and then my friend came over to visit. It was his birthday recently so we invited him over for a treat at the house.

A match between Chelsea and Arsenal was going on. I’m not a football fan and I barely know anything about it, but my sisters are a huge fan. They spent the rest of their evening watching the game while I was mostly indoors just doing my own thing .

The game ended in a draw (1-1). My sister @uredo wasn’t too happy about it because as a Chelsea fan, she really wanted them to beat Arsenal . Chelsea scored at the beginning of the second half of the game and @samostically literally almost had a heart attack as he’s an Arsenal fan🤣. Luckily for him, they equalized before the game ended. It’s so hilarious to see how passionate people can be about football, maybe I’ll try watching it sometime.
I got straight into making dinner after the game had ended because it was getting late. It’s always a hassle deciding what to eat and cook but eventually we settled for chips, sausages and scrambled eggs.
