Dear reader,

As I slowly wake up today, I keep wondering about the sense of longing. It feels to me that most of our addictions are driven by a sense of longing, and/or an attempt to avoid whatever we feel right now.

Is it legitimate to desire companionship, pleasure, love, food, drugs, etc? Is it a struggle for most people to be happy? Here, I mean peacefully happy, content, at ease. What if we were allowed to be totally what we are? Here, I mean to bathe in a sense of safety even if we feel all the things we don't want to feel. Simply being, no complications.
