Today, in a 45 mana battle I got to see a very interesting battle where I entered with three special rulesets. Always remember that before playing it is necessary to check the battle rulesets because they define the special conditions of the battle and your strategy should be built accordingly.

Keeping all three rulesets in mind I created a special strategy and entered the battle. The three modifiers were Fog of War, Armored Up and Odd Ones Out.

In Fog of War all units that have the Sneak, Snipe and Opportunity abilities lose those abilities. In simple words any monster that relies on these abilities becomes ineffective in this battle and they are useless to select them. Any strategy based on these abilities will not work here.

As for Fog of War it is better to choose units with abilities other than Sneak, Snipe, and Opportunity since those abilities are disabled.

The second ruleset was Armored Up where every unit receives +2 Armor. Keeping this in mind it becomes important to build a strategy that can deal with heavily armored enemies. The combination of armor, aggressive and magic monsters best suits according to this ruleset. The more armor there is, the more aggressive your attack should be.

That is why it is usually better to select more Magic Monsters because magic attacks bypass armor and hit health directly. So in this ruleset, prioritizing magic attackers is often the best choice.

The third ruleset was Odd Ones Out which only allows monsters with an odd mana cost to be summoned. This means that only monster cards with odd numbered mana costs can be used in the battlee

With these unique and interesting rulesets I decided to create an aggressive strategy. I planned to place Dread Taffarin in the front because it continuously heals itself.

Every round it restores one-third of its health. I also decided to use as many armored monsters as possible so that the additional +2 armor from Armored Up would make them even stronger.

Another important part of my strategy was selecting as many magic monsters as possible. Since magic damage ignores armor and attacks health directly it would give me a major advantage in this battle.

With that in mind I placed two tank monsters on the front line and positioned my melee, ranged and magic attackers behind them.

When the battle started both sides launched strong attacks. However because I had better magic attackers along with solid melee and ranged damage dealers, my team performed very well from the beginning. My monsters steadily eliminated the enemy monsters one by one and eventually I secured a fantastic victory.

This win was possible because of my strategy, positioning and monster selection. I carefully understood the rulesets first and then selected and placed my monsters accordingly.

The main lesson here is simple that if you understand the rulesets properly and choose your monsters based on them, you have already secured about 50% of your chances of winning before the battle even begins.

What do you people think about this battle? Was it interesting? Will be glad to see tour answers in the comment section.
