The trek home to the base was interrupted by a sudden, ominous downpour, prompting Lou to wear a protective mask. After navigating a heavy current using a ladder, Sam and Lou encountered uniquely passive BTs that seemed powerless around the child, before entering the base to start a peaceful, normal life.

After the tremors settled and I finished soothing Lou, we resumed our steady trek toward the home base while the weather remained temporarily clear, but a sudden downpour of rain began to fall, which served as a notoriously bad omen in this world.

I noticed a subtle change on Lou's face as the drops fell, prompting me to open up the photo mode to get a closer look at the child, only to discover that he was actually wearing a tiny protective mask for the rain, which looked incredibly cute on him.

Looking upward through the heavy downpour, I caught sight of a pale sun, when there was this rainbow and a massive city structure looming on the opposite side of the valley.

As I pushed forward, I spotted several dark shapes in the distance that I initially mistook for the pre-grown forms of BTs, but upon moving closer to inspect them, I realized they were merely leafless desert plants stretching out of the sand.

With the home base finally coming into view, my path was blocked by a fast-flowing waterline with an incredibly strong current, forcing me to deploy a ladder across the gap to cross safely while leaving it behind for potential future use.

Immediately after scrambling to the opposite bank, a cinematic sequence triggered, showing a group of confirmed BTs descending from the sky toward our position, though neither Sam nor Lou appeared to show even a shred of fear.

Multiple BT entities drifted remarkably close to our positions, yet Sam simply stood his ground as if absolutely nothing out of the ordinary were happening around him, while Lou actually appeared to be playfully interacting with the floating spectral figures.

A few grabber BTs materialized from the tar and tried to latch onto them, but they completely failed to establish a grip, raising the possibility that these entities were somehow entirely powerless whenever they were in Lou's immediate presence.

Reaching a ridge of dark rocks, Sam walked up and leaned heavily against a stone that was entirely covered in handprints while the surrounding BTs simply drifted in place and stared directly at them.

The atmosphere shifted dramatically in an instant, making it appear as though Sam had intentionally configured a fake BT environment around the perimeter to scare any unwanted outsiders from attempting to approach the home base.

Once they successfully stepped inside the home base, the tension faded as they transitioned into living a normal domestic life, highlighted by a wall displaying the various height milestones of Lou alongside a rain catcher hanging from the ceiling.

The final moments showed Lou happily riding a small toy while Sam busied himself with cooking a meal, before the camera panned across a dedicated memory wall covered in numerous personal photographs documenting their long journey together.
