I didn't know they ate insects. I thought they ate plant leaves or something. They are strange and beautiful creatures though. It's interesting they have two sets of wings. Don't know why they do. Thanks for posting the pics though.

One outstanding feature about dragonflies is that the camera loves them. Never seen a dragonfly coming up ugly in a photo.

I remember this insect!
Sometimes it would be invisible and we would have to look along its landing surface to find it!
We killed a lot of them as kids!😂🤣
Now i appreciate them!

Great pictures

The pictures are beautiful. If your botanist friend took them as well, then its amazing. But I have a question please. Do dragonflies have any harmful disadvantages as they are important? If they do, how much will it tip a scale compared to their beautiful sides?

Great microscopic photography

My children and I enjoy a series of Books by Reg Down that are whimsical and very sweet. In one of the books, a fairy named Tiptoes Lightly says that dragonflies are the very best fliers because they can fly all directions, including backwards. It made me pause and think because I'd never really thought about it before. Pretty marvelous!

I missed catching and playing that kind of insect when I was young. Coz we’re living in a mountainous place before somewhere in Mindanao.
