Well I have emerged from my antibiotics induced coma… I’m working on my fine motor control and I’m coming along nicely I think. I was hospitalised with an infection in one of my molars…. They pumped me full of antibiotics and sent me home with a prescription for a whole gr. of medication. Twice a day I have forced myself to take them, then I pass out for about 10 hours just to wake up, eat and take them again. Mr Photo or Eythor my fiancé has the same condition and we’re slowly trying to get back on our feet. He is sleeping now with a huge infection bump on his cheek 😓

Enough about our troubles, I woke up today and actually felt like drawing! So out came the iPad and Pencil and off I went. I just drew and drew and then all of a sudden I realised I hadn’t moved in over 2 hours… I was slouched on the couch and boy did that hurt when I finally had the guts to stand up. The result of this endeavour is

Im pretty proud of myself I must admit… to just wake up and this is the first thing I do. The sketch that is, after sketching it out

I went and had breakfast and kissed my darling good morning and kept on working. It’s far from perfect but its a step in the way of learning how to draw realistically in Procreate.

The iris has always interested me and kept me captivated from time to time, god the neighbours seem to have decided that the building has stood here long enough and are drillling it down, one hole at a time, LOUD!!! Anyways…. Let’s continue

I keep on keeping on, the inner lid (what do you call the pinkish thing on the inner side of the eye?)I did actually put in some work there, it’s coloured with the procreate pencil and i try to blend it and make it seamless but perfection it is not. 🤪 I also put in the shiny bit of the eye to make it pop!

Well you can’t go far without skin and all that comes with that, endless colour and blending, over and over and over again. But finally i found something that I was relatively happy with. I have a texture brush that i brushed over the image, the skin was done on 4 layers. 🤯

And finally we arrive at the finished product. I forgot to watermark that one but I’m to lazy to correct that …. Just don’t steal it 😅 and if you absolutely have to steal and claim it for yourself at least give me a heads up or something,
