In Splinterlands it is very important to understand which monster belongs to which element and in which battles they can be selected. If a battle allows only specific elements then you should have monsters from those elements to help you build a strong team.
Right now we have six elements in the game. If you have monster cards from only three elements and not from the other three, you may struggle as a player and face defeats in battles. That is why it is important to maintain a balance and own good monster cards from every element.

Today I explored Chapter 9 of the Campaign which is an excellent campaign for new players who want to understand the game mechanics better. Before this I explored many other chapters where I discussed armor, speed, magic attacks, abilities, mana and many other topics.
Today I decided to talk about elements because many Splinterlands players do not fully understand the difference between elements. Such players should definitely explore these campaigns and learn from them so that battles become easier and their monster card selection improves.
This chapter focuses on elements. In every Splinterlands battle your Archon or Summoner's element determines which cards you can use. For example if you select a Fire Archon you can only choose Fire element monsters. Monsters from other elements will not appear in your selection.

That is why it is very important to remember that you need monster cards from every element. For example if your Archon belongs to the Fire element you can only use Fire monsters. However sometimes battle rules may restrict certain elements. A ruleset may not allow Fire cards or may only allow specific elements.

The campaign is very easy to explore. First you have to log in to your Splinterlands account. Then go to the Campaign section and click on Elements or whatever chapter you want to learn.. There you will find Chapter 9 which explains elements in detail.
After that you will complete a tutorial battle where you can practice selecting monster cards from different elements. This tutorial helps new players understand how element selection works and how choosing an Archon affects the monsters available to them.

It is a very simple campaign and can be completed in just four or five clicks. You will also complete a tutorial battle and receive rewards for finishing it.
After completion of chapter 9, you will be awarded with 6 monster cards which is then added in your decks. You can easily it in your battles and they are the initial level cards which will give you a start in playing the battles.
The best part is that it is rewarding. In only five minutes you can earn six monster cards and gain valuable battle experience at the same time.
