Sometimes you do not have strong monster cards but you still win because of the combination you create. If you select monsters while keeping a combination in mind even if their stats and abilities are not very special they can still support each other. They help each others attacks and work together making them very strong for battle combinations..
I will talk about another special monster combination and explain how you can use these two monsters effectively and get the most benefit from them in battles..
As you can see in the screenshot, I selected one melee attack monster and one ranged attack monster. If you look at their stats they are quite similar and both belong to the Earth element.. At lower levels, each monster has one ability but at level 8 both of them have two abilities. Their powers are also quite similar.
The main question is how to create a strong combination with them and win battles?

Lioceros
At level 8, Lioceros has very strong stats and abilities. It is a 7 mana monster that can be used in almost any mana battle. You can select it easily and place it in a useful position.
It has 9 armor and 9 health making it a very strong tank. It can even be used as a secondary tank but because of the combination this position is not suitable.. Its armor is high enough to absorb melee and ranged attacks for several rounds before its health starts taking heavy damage..
Its health of 9 also helps it survive longer in battle.
It has 4 speed which helps it attack faster. Since it is a melee attacker, it attacks every round with 4 melee damage, dealing heavy damage to enemies.
Its two abilities are:
Thorns
Returns damage to an attacker when hit by a melee attack.
Trample
After defeating a unit with a melee attack, it immediately attacks the next enemy position.
These abilities make it a very powerful monster.

Swell Spore Beast
The second monster is Swell Spore Beast.
It has a mana cost of 8 so it can also be used in kind of battles such as low, mid or high mana.
It has 3 armor and 9 health. Compared to the first monster its armor is much lower, so placing it on the front line would not be a good idea . It is better to place it in the back line where it can survive longer...
It has 1 speed and is a ranged attacker with 5 ranged damage, meaning it attacks every round with strong damage and can heavily weaken enemy monsters.
Its two important abilities are:
True Strike
Its attacks never miss.
Affliction
Has a 50% chance to apply Affliction after a successful attack. An afflicted unit cannot be healed.
These abilities make it very dangerous against healing teams.
Why Is This Combination Strong?
The real strength comes from combining a melee attacker with a ranged attacker and placing it side by side.
If you place both monsters in the middle positions they can work together very effectively and perfectly...
For example:
The melee monster attacks the nearest enemy.
The ranged monster attacks from behind and continues dealing heavy damage.
This allows both the frontline and middle enemy positions to take continuous damage every round.

Because one monster is absorbing damage and attacking up close while the other provides powerful ranged support, they create a strong battle combination.
I recommend adding these two monsters to your deck and trying this combination in battles. The best position I recommend is midline.
