I don’t usually do this kind of photography post.

I tend to avoid it unless I have a story, or specific topic, to talk about.

However when it’s golden hour AND there’s ice, theres always a dickhead (me) with a cameraphone.

I couldn’t feel my toes, to be honest.

I was losing light and it was only 3.45pm

My boots got covered in mud. I wore a decent pair too. (told you I was a dickhead)

The trees looked totally wise.

Winter is absolutely kicking my arse, and rinsing my heating bills.

But I just got some photos I like at the park, so I’ll take it 🙌🏻

I'm envious that you've had frost, although depending on which forecast I look at, it could be -5 down here over night. With barely any wind... Possibly my favourite conditions! Hopefully the forecast is correct.

I’m a professional videographer - so I work with a video camera and I usually edit what I shoot. However I very rarely do photography. It’s another skill set I don’t have the proper skills or discipline for. But sometimes for fun or a favour.

It’s funny, my mum posted on Facebook at like 3am saying it was snowing. I checked but I couldn’t see anything. I didn’t believe her but then I saw people arriving at work with snow on their cars 😂

hey @ashtv, this was pretty sublime! that pic of the tree reflecting in the maple leaf shaped puddle is pretty fortuitous and artsy.

When I see upward shots of trees like that I always wonder what they may be chatting about up there amongst themselves... oops now I sound like a tree hugger 🤣 erm ... maybe I am ... every now and then haha. Anyway, that's some pretty chilled photography! keep vibing.

we just returned from a 40 min walk with my babygirl in a park.
I had 2 spare batteries with me (all run out pretty quickly!) and my baby had her smartphone's battery run out in apparently 20 mins, so... maybe it is not so easy task, to make captures under low temperature. but golden hour worth it!

well you should do more of these posts haha. I love these photos, especially the last one. I love taking phots upwards while standing between trees like that too, especially with a really wide lens. Really puts in perspective how small we are compared to these giants.

It's been way too cold for me this past week. It's got me dreaming of the Canary Islands haha.
