Whew, lucky you did manage to get your funds out of Coinbase. I don't really like those guys either - just before the fork I had some BTC in there, but got paranoid and closed the account because the customer service was not great. So glad I got out of there - especially after hearing your story.

In coinbase terms of service states that any deposit/withdraw from sketchy site will result ban on their site. I don't know why you used them for your hyip shenaniganz.
Not literal quote, but i'm lazy...
Tos is the first thing you have to read atleast for sites you plan to deposit your money to.

And do they have a list of websites that'll trigger getting banned. And why is it even possible in the first place to do deposits/withdraws to/from sites they consider "sketchy."

If they don't have a list published it seems like they are running a sketchy scheme(maybe even scam) to me.

It's a good idea to always transfer funds out of an exchange like coinbase into your own personal wallet - and never make transactions directly.
