I haven’t given up hope either my friend. There are hundreds of us here...we are just buried under hundreds of posts. At least @berniesanders has the courage to speak things exactly as it is. If we give up hope this platform will eventually die.

It is a platform with many flaws for now, were mostly whales are benefiting but it is also a great chance for everyone to make something different. Steemit has been a life changer in some occasions...I’ve seen it through great posts mostly in third world countries. Just never give up hope and keep dreaming my friend.

Honestly, it has been a life changer for many people I know personally before I joined. But now, it isn't any life changer from the look of things. It doesn't matter how great your post maybe, if you ain't followed by an active whale, forget it.
It was nice for my friends to tell me about steemit but now, it isn't great telling people about it because it all seem like a big lie.

Steem is a joke. Anyone that strolls in to check it out will only hear about steem rape/theft, whale bitchfests, and sociopaths like @berniesanders upvoting themselves and down voting their "enemies" whatever that means on a fucking website... This place is like 4Chan but with a a couple of dollars added in to really bring out the worst in people. But who gives a fuck? The money involved is pennies at this point and dropping...... Unless you've invested huge amounts to try to make a business out of it... What a waste, you can make more money in a day in the crypto, stock and futures markets....

Long ago when I didn't know all that much about steem I was like "wow this engagement guy have a lot of SP too bad he will never notice my work since it's not in English". Back then I thought you have only this account -berniesanders with negative reputation and I was like "wtf why he is disliked so much when he is fighting that hijab or whatever his name was who is making 10 posts a day and being upvoted all the time by this rinehorn or whatever his name was".

What I think is that there is nothing wrong in self upvote
once or twice a day unless you are making like 10 posts a day and you upvote only your own posts abusing it like some user who have 92,5% self upvote in past 31 days.
I'm the first one to admit that I upvote myself from time to time (videos) so that they would be visible at least a bit, because I know I put a lot of work into them and that people will enjoy them.

If you have an investment in Steem, why would you not reward yourself with it? That's THE POINT OF IT!!

That's my point. I know my post is awesome and I know I am not spamming specially since some videos takes a lot of time. Also - maybe it is not a lot, but for me it is - I bought around 475 STEEM to increase my STEEM POWER.
Even when I make a Stream and I "like" my own video on YouTube... i mean on SafeSpaceTube people are askng me "why you liked your own video"?
My answer: Because I like it and it is awesome? Why would you post something you don't like? Plus it is "channels activity" so it might appear on your feed again if you missed it.
When you post on busy.org you can even "check mark" an option to "like this post".

It's not your SP or your reputation that counts on steemit, it's your voice that counts. You can upvote every post you make. You can upvote every comment you make, but if you're not curating anything else, that's not how it's supposed to be done. I want to know who else thinks it's funny, so I leave it up to people to upvote. If no one upvotes then I have my answer :D but you are right! Love yourself!

I think people will have to wear suits that have weights around the arms and at different points in the body to help keep some muscle mass and they will have to really focus on working out a ton there but you can't do much about it when they are sleeping. One of the things that i dont like about steemit is that someone who is considered a whale makes a comment( and by the way that is 99% a stupid comment) all of a sudden 10 of his followers upvoted his comment because he is considered a whale a maybe some of them will get a reward.
And in the most part the dont get any rewards they are just licking the whales ass.
