Ecotourism
Ecotourism is a form of tourism that appeared around 40 years ago, at a time when environmental protection was at the heart of all debates. Its definition is however much more recent. A term abused by both professionals and travelers, ecotourism is a tourism approach committed to sustainable development aimed at preserving the biodiversity and cultural resources of a natural area. Raising awareness of social and environmental issues among all stakeholders is essential.
