According to the definition: A Cryptocurrency is a digital asset designed to work as a medium of exchange using cryptography to secure the transaction and to control the creation of additional units of the currency. 

Bitcoin was the first Cryptocurrency in 2009. After that many more have taken birth. All turning to be a hugh gigantic block chain. What more we will be able to get to know is exciting. Closer to future I have a feeling that more and more people are going to stay home and run this technology.
