Introducing the bioblog

Hi!,
I'am Markus. I'am a 21-year young biotechnology student from Germany.

And as you can guess from the name of this blog I really like biology -- and science in general.
So what do you have to expect. As a science person I'd like to share some information and impressions with you here on Steemit. Above all there is entomology, that means the science of all the little insects and moths, which are the most diverse creatures on earth. I did some research by my self in my free time since I was ten years old or so. But already participated in some conferences, here the Forum Herbulot in 2014.

And then there is this other big topic that I really like, but has not very much in common with entomology -- that is bioinformatics, to look at this tiny proteins and doing some crazy stuff with them, like drug design, what could potentially help people to safe their lives.

I think that's it for now, have a nice day and I'll see you later.

That was a very interesting introduction video and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your posts and videos on Steemit and Dtube.

Always good to have more people adding to steemstem, they're usually the most interesting and well writting posts around here.

Hi Markus and welcome to Steemit as well as to Steemstem community! It is great to have another scientist here - especially one focused on life sciences. Btw, nice video.

Following you now and looking forward to your future posts! :)

Welcome to Steemit! Below are quick tips to help you get started:

1.Post quality content

Posting quality content is the most important things you can do to add value to your readers. It’s always easy to post motivation quotes on daily basis but that will certainly not help in long run. Instead of just posting a Quote pic, write your thoughts about it or share some unique experiences about the same. It’s simple; If you want your account to be valued by others add more value to your content. If your content doesn’t add value to their life than there is no way they will follow or up vote your post. Also when someone comment on your post, make sure you reply something valuable that make sense. Replying with -thanks, thanks for reading and all such things will not be of help all the time. When it comes to commenting the goal should be to engage and exchange of knowledge.

2.Make your title catchy and interesting
A good title for your blog is so important. It can mean the difference between tons of clicks or no clicks. People will able to see your post title in their feed and if it can’t grab their attention that you will Keep it short and focused. So be creative. Be intriguing. Again, interesting title will be of no use if the content is not read worthy.

  1. Using the right tags

Selecting the most relevant tags is extremely important. Do your research for the tags that early adopters are using and figure out what are the best ones that fits best based on your content topic. Also, make sure to use all five possible tags that are specifically relevant to your post. Posting quality content under similar tags will establish your authority in the specific subjects and people who share similar interest are more likely to follow you.
If you are not able to find more than two relevant tags than the best way to fill in the quota is to add some less relevant general tags such as blog, life or else using one or two tags is also fine.

4.Posting Frequency

The best Posting more than four times a day can reduce your potential rewards, as well as turning off potential users. (I aim for one post per day most of the time.) Consistency is important, though, so you should try to post often.

  1. Attach relevant photo

Always make sure to attach a photo to your posts! You should also have a finished profile: Write a description, add a profile picture and a banner- neither needs to be of you, necessarily, but you should have something- and set a link to your website or social media account.

Go through the below link and learn so you do not make rookie mistakes such as plagiarism and comment spam:

Abuse Guide - 2017 Update

Follow individuals who share similar interests as yourself, stay away from spammy posters who post meme after meme, and consistency is your friend!

The rule to be successful here is simple- make better posts, gain more followers, get attention and eventually you will earn more. You have to commit yourself certain time in to learning and getting better.

Welcome to Steemit my German Neighbor! I am a Canadian living in Holland so we are not too far apart at this moment! Glad to have a highly intelligent scientist and a great English speaking German here on Steemit

I'll be following you and looking forward to more great content from you. I think we as the human race can only benefit from the study of entomology and of course bioinformatics.

Welcome!
