I’ve already dealt with such a business model when I tried mobile versions of several games. Let's say, I know what it is and how it looks like but I had no idea that the scheme with in-game purchases called “freemium”. Thanks to this piece of information from GamblingAffiliateVoice https://gamblingaffiliatevoice.com/news/how-the-rise-of-in-app-purchases-is-influencing-the-mobile-gaming-industry/ , now I've figured out that. And that's true, I noticed that more and more games are designed by this model, as the article says. And some experts foresee it a bright future. But what do you think guys? Does it really have a future? And is it able to meet users' criteria and improve their experience with a healthy correlation between price and enjoyment?
