A terrifying encounter with the Rat King involved a desperate scramble through a stuck door and a narrow escape from its grip. After multiple brutal failures and restarts, Abby utilized an axe, a shotgun, and a flamethrower to fight back, eventually dealing enough damage to force a piece of the monster to separate.

It was a pure nightmare when the Rat King was actively chasing me through the dark corridors, and the tension peaked at the exact moment I had to come to a complete stop to force open a stuck door while the monstrosity closed the distance.

I barely managed to squeeze through the doorway and scramble toward a small hole in the wall, but the Rat King suddenly grabbed me, and tried to pull me back to tear me apart before Abby somehow broke her free from the demon's massive grip.

After sprinting as hard as I could to put some distance between Abby and the Rat King, I realized I had run straight into a dead end with no way around, forcing me to give up as the creature caught up and brutally tore Abby apart.

Upon restarting the encounter, I located an alternative route to escape the immediate area, but I was not quite fast enough, allowing the demon to catch me off guard once again and prepare to finish me off.

Fortunately, I spotted a brief opening in the struggle, prompting Abby to swing a nearby axe wildly to attack the Rat King, which successfully forced the demon to release its hold on her.

The Rat King retaliated immediately, so I opened fire with my shotgun at point-blank range, and the moment the ammunition was completely depleted, I quickly switched over to the flamethrower to keep the beast at bay.

Despite the heavy fire, the Rat King managed to catch me off guard a second time, resulting in another brutal cinematic where it completely overwhelmed Abby in a devastating fashion.

On the final attempt, I made absolutely sure not to let the creature catch me again, throwing everything I had into the assault until a massive chunk of the Rat King actually separated from the main body and escaped into the dark.
