💳 Hive-Powered Payments Are Here at ATI Hotel 🐝
We’re excited to announce that the Hive Hub at ATI Hotel is now live with its own Hive-backed debit card system — bringing blockchain utility to the real world, one room at a time.
Each room (or dorm bed) is now linked to a custom Hive debit card — a proxy account that guests can load with funds in HBD (Hive Backed Dollars) or local currency. This gives travelers the ability to:
• Pre-load money onto their room’s card
• Use it across the hotel, café, and bar for purchases
• Avoid dealing with coins, cash exchanges, or high foriegn credit card fees
• Tap into Hive-powered payments — without needing to be a Hive user themselves
It’s a practical gateway into Web3: we manage the blockchain side, while guests enjoy a smooth, familiar debit-card-like experience.
This system acts as a proxy wallet: behind the scenes, each card is tied to a Hive account, allowing us to track balances and transactions transparently, while shielding guests from complexity.
We’re starting with a small batch during the Hive Hub pilot — but the vision could go bigger: real-world adoption of Hive’s speed, transparency, and zero-fee transfers
