Beautiful Steemians,
I recently had a fun two day excursion of dance, music, and community.
My experience commenced with the end of the summer season new moon beach jam. I'm very thankful I was introduced to such an event and had such a fun time attending multiple occasions. The people I met are loving and free and I've learned more about the power of meditation through dance. When you learn to let go through dance, granted you are surrounded by other like minded individuals, you experience a sense of oneness that can be healing. The lack of thought and self dwelling enables a greater connection to the collective energy. Music and dance align with love and have the power to unite.
The following day we biked around the city, swam in the lake, and ended the day with a concert. Attending the concert was a spontaneous idea which made it all the more fun. It was with artists that I had never heard of which again made it that much more exciting.
I saw East Forest and Trevor Hall.

East Forest was super cool and incorporated unique sounds. They played the violin, flute, and one song they mixed in the sound of chopping wood. How Canadian! But seriously I appreciated their emphasis on natural and native sounds.

Trevor Hall was great. Right before the concert I had a phone call with a friend who said I would like his music and style. My friend was right. Trevor has an awesome sound that embraces loving vibrations and lyrics. He's musically talented but also talented in making his audience feel light, happy, and connected.

I like to think I like good music. Anyone can say that and of course we all have different tastes. But I've encountered two artists recently, Nahko and Medicine For The People and Trevor Hall (I saw both at the same venue) and have determined that I think we need a strong renaissance of feel good, positive, and loving music. We need more music that vibrates messages that unite us and make us feel compassion for each other. We need music that resonates strong loving frequencies and messages for positive change.
Connecting with others through music and dance is an easy way to feel how similar we are, and how deep down we are connected through loving vibrations.
