The bible teaches us to always respect and honour our ancestors and also thank them for being the source of our life in this world. Christians are not instructed to believe or follow every tradition simply because it came from their ancestors. All teachings and practices should be examined in the light of God's Word to determine whether they are true and pleasing to Him.

Jesus teaches us that our tradition should not replace God's worship in our life. While ancestral wisdom may contain valuable lessons, believers should place their ultimate trust in God and His Word. The Bible calls Christians to follow truth, even when it differs from long-held family or cultural traditions.
