Good Monday to you Steem! Today's post is about a camping trip I took to Big Sur California. We got to stay on the Big Creek Reserve overlooking the beautiful ocean and winding Highway 1. The first time I got to stay here was for a field biology class through our local college. When I heard my teacher was putting together a work crew to do a little trail work on the reserve in exchange for a free stay, I jumped on the opportunity to go again!

The view as we hiked and worked on the trails wasn't too bad...

A bench overlooking the highway at the top of the reserve. There was a steep switchback trail that went down to the entrance of the reserve from here. I had hiked it rather than riding in the van up the narrow road--I beat the caravan of cars up to the top, and had a much better view as well as good workout!
