I am shy. Spoken in rare instances, and seen even less often. There are those that attempt to emulate my presence with intense pool lights reflecting off stark aqua tiles. Or illuminating cerulean gel with a luminous backdrop.
But that is not me.
I choose my forms carefully, appearing as if I were a fluorescent spectacle to behold, much less common and far more brilliant than young children clad in aptly-named baby blue. In addition, I am markedly more dazzling in my naturality than the artificial disposition of electric blue.
A beauty of nature, my favourite paring is the piercing night sky. Unlike it’s ultramarine-tinged alternative in the diurnal phase, the heavens may be straight piceous, but often the light pollution of a nearby city gives the otherwise atramentous atmosphere a gradient of light comparable to my own in the waves.
I am blue bioluminscence, and it will be nice to make your acquaintance.
Eventually.
