I followed you, but on steem blockchain everybody helps his self by learnig more, by being active. So write quality posts, write good comments. I have come across many post here on Steemit where users are requesting for sbd listing on Binance, I am also expecting that to happen.

It's good that users care, I am very happy about that. But I will not calm down before they will add it to binance. We are all waiting for better price.☺

Despite obvious thing (listing SBD on binance is a good idea) there's a major misconception within your video.

It's not good for us if "SBD goes to the moon"

A "good price" for Steem Dollar is 1SBD = 1USD and keeping it at such level in a long run is important for our economics.

It is designed to worth around 1USD (and yes, we had troubles keeping it there because of lack of good tools to fight it when it goes above the peg).

I know that this might be confusing for many, but here's an exercise that can help sorting things out.

Let's take a look at three scenarios:
1) 1 STEEM = $1 and 1 SBD = $1.
1) SBD would double its value on the markets
so 1 STEEM = $1 and 1 SBD = $2.
2) STEEM would double its value on the markets
so 1 STEEM = $2 and 1 SBD = $1

How that affects a post that has potential payout at $4?

1. In the first case,
   Author rewards is 75% which is $3 worth of STEEM in Steem Power) and SBD (in 50% / 50% split).
   That would be:
   - 1.5 STEEM that's worth 1.5 USD on markets
   - 1.5 SBD that's worth 1.5 USDon markets
   - Total: 3 USD.

2. If price of SBD doubles on markets then posts end up with same $4 payout.

   • 1.5 STEEM that's worth 1.5 USD on markets
   • 1.5 SBD that's worth 3 USD on markets
   • Total: 4.5 USD

3. If price of STEEM doubles on markets then same amount of votes that your post received would cause payout to jump to $8.
   Author rewards would be $6 split:

   • 1.5 STEEM that's worth 3 USDon markets
   • 3 SBD that's worth 3 USD on markets
   • Total: 6 USD.

SBD is our debt. It can also negatively affect STEEM price. Too much of it and printing rate is limited (then part of your rewards are in liquid STEEM instead of SBD).

TL;DR: you really don't want SBD to go up. You want STEEM go to the moon.

As for listing itself, IMO filling this form is not really that important. Most of the answers for SBD is same as for already listed STEEM. All technology required for running SBD is also already there. I guess filling support ticket (as "development suggestion") which I already did, might help if there would be enough binance users supporting it. That CEO-requirement is a nonsense for all decentralized projects.

I understand now, thanks for explaining everything, but I think if binance will list steem dollar as well, it will promote steem more. So, people who will invest in steem dollar will think about investing in steem as well and they will understand how huge steem is. Agree, the more places where you can exchange STEEM and SBD the better.

In example 3, why would you get $3.00 US for 1.5 SBD if it is at 1=1? That would only happen if SBD is at 2=1.

In example 3 there's 3 SBD = 3 USD.

So if SBD is worth 1 USD how do you get 3SBD? If your reward is $3.00 and you are on the 50/50 option, you get $1.5 Steem $1.5 SBD, as Steem is worth 1 for $2.00 what you get in Steem is .75, and you get to change your SBD at the same rate , you get .75, this gives us 1.5 Steem x 2, exactly $3.00. The only way you can get more than the dollar value of your payout is if SBD is worth more than $1.00.

Please read again. It is not $3, author reward is $6 because

Yes, I know that, I didn't know you were already including the new value of the Steem vote I figured you were working on a $3.00 reward, still if SBD were at 1 for $2.00 the reward for whatever SBD you get would be double. Now I would like to ask you what is the benefit for me if SBD is pegged at 1=1, would it not make more sense to just use Steem? Or is it just a way to try to get more people to use the 100% power up option?

Stability matters. In many use cases people want to exit to or interact with a fiat world.
For example Bob wants to know if his posts payout (liquid part) is enough to buy a pizza or not. You can tell that also with STEEM, but what if Bob wants to eat a pizza in a week or two?
Across 2017 for the same amount of STEEM you could buy 1 pizza or more than 40 pizzas.
It's also easier for Alice to sell hand painted T-Shirts for SBD rather than $x worth of STEEM.

So the answer is it is good for me because of stability, OK, I can see some sense in that. Also it is certainly better for Steem to be at $2.00 than for SBD to be at $2.00, as my reward doubles if Steem is at that price while it only goes up 50% if SBD is at $2.00. On the other hand you can't deny that it would be even better if Steem =$2.00 and SBD=2.00, because the original $3.00 reward becomes $6.00 (3 Steem and 3 SBD) and the 3 SBD become 6. So you get a $9.00 reward. And it grows exponentially the higher the prices go.
If Steem=10USD and SBD=10USD, you reward woud be:
$30.00 ($15.00 Steem and $15.00 SBD) but the $15.00 in SBD would become $150.00 so you would get $165.00 in what was originally a $3.00 reward.
Now stability might be great and what you should strive for, but I would certainly prefer to have SBD at the highest it can be, because obviously I would rather be able to buy 2 pizzas than 1.

Yes I can. No it would not. It's just short sighted lure of quick gains and in the end it hurts the platform.

Well at least I see where you stand, I don't agree with you, but you are the only one of the people who are trying to get the pegged SBD who has given me a reason for why you want it. But this stability also creates another problem you have to be able to exchange SBD easily to USD, and for that you need a lot of exchanges carrying SBD. This is not the case at this moment.

True. Currently in most cases we need to go through BTC. Getting rid of this extra hop is most wanted. And of course the more exchanges with STEEM/SBD the better.

Since we are at the peg atm, the payout structure is quite a bit different then it was a few weeks ago.
I can say that i like it more at the moment.
The question is how do you keep it at the peg?
If you try to have it fixed you lose external appeal of SBD and have SBD only as a internal instrument... As long as you can convert it to Steem you really dont need it to be subject to price speculation. At low Steem market cap, by getting rid of SBD (like some suggest) you simply lose volume Steem might not take over... So im not sure SBD either way (get rid of it, keep it at 1USD) really change the fact that some want to speculate on its price and we dont know what to do with SBDs.

What exactly can witnesses do to reduce the price once it gets over 1usd.
I dont think you guys can reach a consensus to print up more SBD to reduce the price, can you?

High SBD price is incredibly bad for the platform. It empowers upvote automation through bots, hurts the trending page, slows account growth and potentially takes away from Steem investment.

It would be best if it remained at the peg, but how do you do that.

Not much. Most we can is to wait. Printing more SBD is technically possible (and was suggested by some) but IMO that would be abuse of power and harmful for the platform in a long run.

Has @aggroed seen this math? Might help him understand why many of us advocate for a pegged SBD and a higher price of STEEM to help everyone.
