Planning a wedding is a huge task filled with so much to do and so little time to accomplish it all, which is why most brides opt to hire a planner. I did it myself. Well actually, we did, my husband was very supportive and had alot of input which helped tremendously!

I thought I'd share a few tips as it is still very fresh for me...
When planning their special day, many brides put a lot of pressure on themselves and everyone around them to make the day perfect. What is important to remember is even though this may be one of the most memorable days of your life, it’s just one day. In fact, it is just the first day in a beautiful marriage that will have many more happy days! Take it all in and try and enjoy it. It's over so quickly.
Don't kill yourself trying to fit into that runway size dress or try to be someone you're not... Get the dress that fits you and makes you feel fabulous on your big day instead of worrying about that back fat.

Many brides go crazy trying to balance their invitation lists with what others expect, but your wedding day shouldn’t be about pleasing everyone. You can't always invite everyone and you also don't want to waste valuable time for friends and family greeting people whose names you do not remember.
Don't do that Bridezilla thing and become too controlling. It's your future husbands' wedding day too, it's important to notice what is important to him and include that with your plans. He should at least be partially involved in the wedding planning process.
When people get overwhelmed, they tend to put things off. This is why many brides procrastinate! What I learnt is that many wedding vendors book early and if you wait too long you may find yourself settling. Don't procrastinate!

Bridesmaids and family can quickly try and overtake your wedding. Don't be afraid to stand your ground and be assertive. I'm not saying be rude and have no one at your wedding, but don't let people dictate to you, it's your wedding day and you shouldn't try to please everyone around you!
Most importantly, just enjoy it... the night of your actual wedding goes by so quickly, just make the most of every minute!!!
