Haha, sorry about that 🤪 I guess photos from Attack of the Swamp Manta would have been much more exciting and maybe the last photos I would have ever taken!!!

Yeah, I was thinking that too, as it had that rainbow kind of look. But we also have lots of bog iron in NJ and it turns the water and rocks that yucky orange color.

Thanks, I just got lucky with this find. We were taking a short hike before it got too dark, but the trails were really flooded, to the point where you had to keep veering into the woods to get around the big floods.

This was the end of the road for that hike as it just got too swampy to continue.

But the way the sun was streaming through made it worth lingering and taking a few captures.

I had my Sony with me, but some dummy (umm, that would be me) forgot to put the card back in the camera ;-( iPhone 7 Plus to the rescue!!!

Omg! I'm constantly amazed at how great photos turn out from phones!! Shit...I never would have known...!

Many don’t realize how many great and beautiful places there are in the Garden State. I lived in Stoke State Forest until I was 17. Later moved to Virginia! Very nice photos! Congrats on the spotlight!

Oooooh I love these! That refelection is amazing!!! Beautiful captures. I can’t get over the colours on the swamp.

The color on the water is amazingly wild. Is that an oil sheen from decay or whatnot?...or all just from sun and shadow? Whatever caused it, I've never seen that before. Great find and capture. Particularly with the phone. (though they do have pretty nice optics for a lens the size of a pencil eraser. I carry a slightly older Galaxy something or other for rain deluge days and "dag, I forgot my bloody card for the camera" days. Works pretty well as a stand-in. Not AS good as the camera, but better than just my memory and a drawing. Yikes!). Long comment longer, really excellent photos of a cool situation in nature.
