Honestly, I didn’t really know what I was doing on my username, and might have picked something else now that I have the benefit of hindsight... I was trying to go for Brian.r which was my first name, last initial but it was taken! So I added a couple of rrrs for the fun of it, but I was thinking a slight pirate twist when I picked it, but I have no particular affinity to the pirate life! Ha!

Never have you been anything but positive, lego the nego as you say! We met through a comment and you were legitimately the first bright light I saw on this platform.

There are many great authors but few really look at who’s following them as much as you do @coruscate, yet I think @dnews will challenge you on that!

So what has he done for me? Well he’s supported my vlogging even encouraging it from the get go. Often giving great ideas often seemingly aimed at people like myself struggling( I mean on here and personally). He’s inspired me to give back which is a work in progress but please check it out #onelovedtube.

This man has encouraged me to start a discord in collaboration for a cause the name implies, share the love which can be lacking on here! We have a community account @onelovedtube working on a curation trail, learning as I go! All credit @dnews, as I try find a place on this platform I realize I may never be able to sing a song like @coruscate or be able to motivate and encourage like @dlife ( @dnews other channel for life talk ) or be able to even get that @dtube vote. Those are not my goals, as I have said to @dnews many times, I found steemit after asking for something to distract me from life’s sorrows. I started with curation and will continue to be a curator to my own definition of good!

Long story short I found crypto, then mining, then steemit, started blogging which was an awesome experience being able to write out things I’ve had buried, writing an article is art in that fashion my soul goes into it. Then I found @dtube and have not really looked back, though I still try put a lot of effort into the steemit article, again thanks to encouragement from @dnews. I was an early commenter of his and I really liked his work, he really appreciates my no bs real comments.. if I stop by I stop by! He then creeped my blog and insisted I could join in on dtube, sometimes a little encouragement goes a long way. He’s constantly instructing how I can do it better, he is the whole reason I haven’t been discouraged, as I’ve found a new angle. Giving first, through our discord of love and curation trail we hope to create a support network and hopefully a community that will bring to light good content creators that struggle as everyone starting out does.

This entire thing has been extremely therapeutic for me, years of baggage rolling off so damb dramatically it was concerning! I had to take a step back a few times, I’ll always struggle but I have a new light.

I started my vlog and he was brutally honest upon review as I have always been but he’s always possative where I lack. He’s just good for me to communicate with and that we do now frequently through our community discord server. I have met so many people already just from this endeavour, I cannot find the words to express it better...

He is a professional on every level, life encouragement, goal setting, positive outlook, public speaking, and a professional photographer. He’s shared with me his life story is a lot like mine, troubled, yet he’s overcome his challenges and encourages me to do so.

I won't call him my steemit bestie cause we've been on steemit for about a month and our friendship is way longer than that. I'm 23 years old and I've known this guy for 20 years, so calling him just my friend would be a huge understatement. He's one of closest and definitely the oldest friend of mine.
About any positive impact, I don't think he's had any, he sucks (I'm just kidding). When I look back at my life there are lot of exciting and fun times I've had with my friend. And we still hang out regularly. I won't bore you with more, but this is one friendship I will have for a long time (20 years is already a long time). There are a very few people I trust completely in my life and he's definitely one of them..

For the contest, it's really difficult to choose just one person. Hmmm....I'm going to have to go with @yekrats. Regarding the contest: Well, I haven't made any friends because I'm very asocial even in real life I just have a few friends, and well I'm also relatively new on the platform.

However, I will tag my favorite blogger on steemit which is @whynotdoit (JIN). He is a traveler blogger from Vietnam (as far as I know). I really admire him because he's not just a traveler, he also speaks several languages, Vietnamese, Korean, English and he's learning Spanish as well (Maybe I'm missing more languages, lol). He also writes about cryptocurrencies sometimes. It's funny because I came across with his blog browsing on the new posts section and since I was very hungry, every post about food called my attention so Jin posted something delicious, it was pizza! But I stopped being hungry when he added nutella and spicy sauce to the pizza, I don't think nutella and spicy sauce are the best food combination, lol.

I didn't comment about how grossed out I was about that, because I remembered that where I live (Venezuela) pizzas are very cheap, in fact here you can get a pizza for just 1 dollar (the wages are ultra low though). After that I don't miss a post of this Blogger, since he's a very nice person and I really enjoy reading his posts. I also tagged him on this post, because he gave me the idea of teaching Spanish on Steemit, which is a project that I'm planning to do in the future to help steemians to learn a new language (Spanish is my mother tongue). And despite I'm just a small minnow with no power, @whynotdoit adopted me and always supports me, thank you for that :D

The person on Steemit that has had the greatest influence is @mericanhomestead. I had been watching them on Youtube for awhile and then one day he started talking about this new platform called steemit. After reading about it, I immediately became interested and wanted to be a part of it. I started by posting about homesteading and have since them grown to find other interests. It helped me to get involved in the #steemsilvergold community and to finally start getting into physical assets like gold and silver. I had composed a short story and he was my one stalwart fan inevitably. Regardless i'm not done and he bothered me about it.

Oh this is definitely going to be @kay1, a cousin of mine.I think i know why he'll always tell me to take steemit seriously now and devote my time to it while i'm still on holiday. I could remember when you introduced me to steemit, I told you I was not interested in it, thinking it was a ponzi scheme, but you persisted and said "steemit has changed my life and I would love it to do same to you".
The Steemit community has opened my mind into a new world where I get to express my feelings, ideas, passion and every great qualities I could offer to the world with the assurance that I'm being heard. This great new world which you introduced me to, has given me the opportunity to interact with great minds who has helped my intellectual positively.

Yes, there is a guy who's impact on me happen through the steemit. Perhaps he was the first to join steemit from my state. @mirhimayun told me about steemit but I ignored him first instance, he continued his journey with steemit and repeatedly called me to do so. I was not able to research about it, may be I didn't believe about it.
Two months back he got the latest iPhone and showed the transaction from steemit. It was his first transaction. He perhaps only did it to show me that the steemit is a reality. That day I felt the impact of him. He powered down his steemit account to me and @naseerbhat, if we continue with steemit and produce good content, we can earn good amount as well as make best friends out of it.
Today when I was checking your post I felt there are many steemoholic people like @coruscate as well as @mirhimayun. He almost know every good content creator and minnow helpers on steemit and is big fan of yours too.
Anyways I don't know how much my comment will impact the Steemians here but I had big impact from him about steemit.
"though his explanations to a query about steemit are too technical to be understood but he knows every answer about steem!!"
I am really impressed by all the best content creators especially @coruscate and @mirhimayun .

She can be funny and serious and caring and supportive all at once.

She introduced me to steemit, or I should say, she introduced steemit to me

She called me up one day and told me about steemit, told me that since I'm a writer I should make good use of my skills. She's a person who notices your strengths and helps you build on them.

She is the sorta friend who stays by your side throughout, in a party (when you just can't interact)

After I got signed up, she pulled me through like her handbag. Meaning, whatever group she joined in the community, she added me,
Whatever contest she participated in, she told me to participate ,
Whatever bot she tried that failed, she would warn me not to use it,
Whatever member of the community that did shady deals, she prevented me from relating with the person.

Tough one! There are several who've been helpful, inspirational & entertaining! But I'd have to say @gringalicious. I had toyed with the idea of blogging for some time. My husband had finally convinced me to join Steemit but I was still just testing the waters, not really getting it and not terribly committed.

I remember seeing @gringalicious's name here & there and someone recommending her posts, but one day I stumbled upon a milkshake post where she mentioned a burger joint in my area. So we started chatting through comments and she invited me to a Steemit meetup.

I almost didn't go because I have 4 kiddos and I had no one to watch them, but she encouraged me to bring the family. It was the warmest welcome. It was a turning point for me to experience this community, not just virtually, but in a face-to-face tactile way. All of a sudden, Steem wasn't just this vague thing I was tinkering with online, it was a real community with genuine, caring individuals. I just so incredibly grateful the way things worked out.

In addition, she's a wildly talented food photographer and just looking at her posts is inspiring on so many levels. Her posts make me want to write, cook, photograph and just put myself out there creatively!

I'm so very appreciative of all I've experienced on this platform and it's largely due to that one little meetup. Thanks @coruscate for this opportunity to share and congrats!
