Today Wednesday, February 7th 2018 we had our first meetup in Mexico, in San Juan del Rio, Queretaro. We where honored to have received a spot at an auditorium of the Engineering Faculty from the Autonomous University of Queretaro. We had 18 people and me that attended to the event where I mainly introduced them to the basics of Bitcoin, his history, the possibilities and opportunities that have risen since its creation and also clear that incorrect image Bitcoin and the other cryptocoins have.
I am sorry for the bad quality of the pictures, we took them with a midrange cellphone.
In the group we had only 3 people that had a basic idea of what Bitcoin is and around 5 other guys that had heard of Bitcoin but, as many people do, they thought Bitcoin was only used by bad people to do money laundry and that sort of things.

I was thankful to have such a receptive and open audience. They where really interested in that new technology for them and they got the concepts really quick. We only had two people that leaved the building before the ending of my presentation.
I also told them that we where working on a new platform to process crypto payments, but all details where going to be fully disclosed in a bit more than a week.
At the end we had a really interesting question session where I confirmed my audience were really grasping the concepts and thinking about its implications.
Finally I asked how many of them where interested in having more meetings to learn more about this technology and everyone (except those two who leaved earlier) where interested and shared with me their contact information to keep them posted.
I had a great time, shared my knowledge and I also learned from the others point of view so I declare this first meeting a nice success.
Peace, love and agorism.
