Snow or Rain?

The drive out to see this gorgeous stallion took a few hours. 20mins away from the farm I could start to see massive cloud heads forming and rumbling off in the distance. It was too late to turn back...
I thought I would have enough time to quickly photograph, but after a few minutes in the paddock the skies opened up. I rushed to the horse shelter as thick driving rain drops spattered on the roof.
The horse didn't care...

Beautiful shot!
Must have been extremely difficult to focus and compose it in such bad weather. The shallow depth of field works really well.

I was certain when looking at this you masked a snow / rain mix in but sounds like you captured it as is? Crazy... Some of those large white bokeh pieces don't look like rain at all.

Captured as is, no overlays :) The larger pieces were drops falling from the shelter roof.
