Electroneum is a new cryptocurrency in the market. More and more people are mining this currency and there are already first exchanges which accept the coin.
Electroneum unveiled the new mobile miner at the Mobile World Congress. Although mobile miner apps (e.g. Minergate) already exist, but the electroneum app does not have any real algorithm. The app generates the currency based on the available resources of the phone. This means no extra power consumption and therefore no extra heat.
This opens a huge market in third-world countries, where people do not earn much, but more and more people own a smartphone.
With that, the developers are a huge step closer to "mass adoption" of their coin.

For example, with my Galaxy S6, I can mine 3.5 - 4 ETN per day. This would be a profit 0.17 - 0.20 USD per day.
