Trudy era una guitarrista, que siempre estaba de gira con risignstar tocando en calles, bares y pequeños escenarios, por eso tenía poco tiempo para regresar a su pueblo natal, sin embargo, cada vez que regresaba tenía miedo, ya cuando Trudy estaba pequeña tocó en un escenario y escuchó pasos debajo del escenario, además eran pasos que nada más los oía ella y por eso durante mucho tiempo no fue más.
>Trudy was a guitarist who was always on tour with Risignstar, playing in the streets, bars, and small venues, so she rarely had time to return to her hometown. However, every time she did go back, she was afraid. When Trudy was little, she had once played on a stage and heard footsteps beneath it—footsteps that only she could hear. Because of that, she didn’t go back for a long time.

Trudy recibió una noticia de que su abuelo había fallecido y por eso regresó al pueblo, donde se encontró con su amiga conocida Jennifer, quien era una bailarina profesional reconocida. Después ambas amigas fueron al viejo escenario, que ahora era una academia de baile, donde todo era moderno, pero Trudy volví a escuchar el sonido, Tac, Tac, donde se asustó, ya que el sonido se volvió más fuerte y nos les quedó de otra que salir.
Al día siguiente Jeniffer y Trudy regresaron a ese mismo lugar, donde no había nadie y el sonido volvió a aparecer. Así que Trudy tomó su guitarra y se sentó frente al escenario, para tocar algo y en vez de que el sonido desapareciera, los pasos siguieron el ritmo de la música Tac, Tac. Las dos chicas se miraron y llegaron a la conclusión de que había algo debajo de ese escenario.
Tomaron una linterna y comenzaron a inspeccionar, luego de un par de minutos encontraron un túnel con una gran escalera. Trudy comenzó abajar y al llegar se dio cuenta de que el lugar era amplio, lleno de espejos negros, zapatillas de ballet y una mesa con varios libros. Jeniffer tomó uno y comenzó a leer y se dio cuenta de que eran rituales, que consistían que cada presentación realizada sobre aquel escenario servía para alimentar algo. Era como especie de intercambio baile por talento.
>Trudy received word that her grandfather had passed away, so she returned to the town, where she ran into her old friend Jennifer, who was a well-known professional dancer. Then the two friends went to the old stage, which was now a dance studio, where everything was modern, but Trudy heard the sound again—Tac, Tac—and she got scared, since the sound grew louder, and they had no choice but to leave.
>The next day, Jennifer and Trudy returned to that same place, where no one was there, and the sound appeared again. So Trudy grabbed her guitar and sat down in front of the stage to play something, but instead of the sound disappearing, the footsteps kept time with the music: Tap, tap. The two girls looked at each other and concluded that there was something beneath that stage.
>They took a flashlight and began to investigate; after a couple of minutes, they found a tunnel with a large staircase. Trudy started going down, and when she reached the bottom, she realized the place was spacious, filled with black mirrors, ballet slippers, and a table with several books. Jennifer picked one up and started reading, realizing they were rituals—each performance on that stage served to feed something. It was like a sort of exchange: dance for talent.

Al final del libro había una gran lista de nombres bailarinas y uno de esos era el de Jeniffer, algo que no tenía sentido. Cuando se iban, se dieron cuenta de que en los espejos aparecieron reflejos de mujeres bailando, todas al mismo ritmo como si estuvieran atrapadas. Pero en ese instante los espejos comenzaron a agrietarse y salió algo que ambas chicas se asustaron y cada movimiento que hacía era los mismos sonidos que Trudy siempre escuchaba Tac, Tac.
La criatura avanzó hacia donde estaba Jeniffer y por eso su nombre estaba en esa lista, ya que iba a reclamar lo que le pertenecía. Trudy reaccionó, tomó su guitarra y tocó una mezcla muy especial, donde cada nota era más fuerte, logrando así que la criatura se detuviera. Sin embargo, Trudy tocó mucho más fuerte y rápido que la criatura no supo controlar sus pasos y todos los espejos se terminaron de romper.
Jeniffer se asustó y tomó de la mano a Trudy quien estaba concentrada en tocar la guitarra, pero tenía que irse de ese lugar, ya que se iba a derrumbar. Al salir, se encendió en fuego todo ese lugar y el escenario se fue rompiendo, donde todos comentaron que fue un accidente, pero nadie mencionó los pasos y los espejos.
>At the end of the book there was a long list of dancers' names, and one of them was Jennifer—which didn't make any sense. As they were leaving, they noticed that the mirrors were showing reflections of women dancing, all in perfect sync as if they were trapped. But at that moment, the mirrors began to crack, and something emerged that frightened both girls; every movement it made produced the same sounds Trudy always heard: Tac, Tac.
>The creature advanced toward where Jeniffer was standing—which was why her name was on that list—as it was going to claim what belonged to it. Trudy reacted, grabbed her guitar, and played a very special tune, where each note grew louder, causing the creature to stop. However, Trudy played so much louder and faster that the creature lost control of its steps, and all the mirrors shattered completely.
>Jeniffer was scared and took Trudy’s hand—Trudy was focused on playing the guitar, but she had to leave that place, since it was about to collapse. As they left, the whole place burst into flames and the stage began to crumble; everyone said it was an accident, but no one mentioned the footsteps or the mirrors.

Pasaron varios meses y Jeniffer se retiró de la danza y Trudy sigue tocando la guitarra, pero esta vez en una nueva escuela de danza y en una presentación noto como una niña bailaba a la perfección y mientras todos aplaudían, escucho ese mismo sonido de Tac, Tac a lo lejos, siendo pasos de baile debajo del escenario.
>Several months passed, and Jennifer retired from dancing, while Trudy continues to play the guitar—but this time at a new dance school. During a performance, she noticed a little girl dancing flawlessly, and as everyone applauded, she heard that same “tap, tap” sound in the distance—the sound of dance steps coming from beneath the stage.
