Hello to all my Hive friends... 🐱

For fans and connoisseurs of the SpongeBob SquarePants animated series, today I wanted to create one of its characters. Here is the well-known "Patrick Star" as a 3D decorative figure made using the quilling technique.

Para los conocedores y fanáticos de la serie animada Bob esponja, hoy quise realizar uno de sus personajes, les dejo al conocido "Patricio Estrella" en una figura decorativa en 3D en la técnica de quilling.

Esperando que sea de su agrado, les dejo mi proceso creativo:

• Start by taking a 3mm-wide green quilling strip. Use the needle to roll the strip until you reach the end, secure it with extra-strong white glue, and remove it from the needle to form a closed circle.

• Using the same method as above but with a 5mm-wide pink strip, make a closed circle the same size as the green one.

• Shape the circles using a 20mm circle-cutting template. Remove the green circle from the template and apply extra-strong white glue to its inner edge.

• Remove the pink circle from the template and use your finger to lift it into a long shape. Apply glue to its inner edge as well to prevent it from shifting or warping.

• Comenzamos tomando cinta para quilling de color verde de 3mm de ancho, con la aguja enrollaremos hasta llegar al final de la cinta, sellamos con pega blanca extra fuerte, sacamos de la aguja para obtener un círculo cerrado.

• Bajo los mismos parámetros anteriores pero con cinta rosada de 5mm de ancho haremos un círculo cerrado del mismo tamaño del verde.

• Moldearemos los círculos en una plantilla para moldear círculos en la medida número 20mm, el verde lo sacamos de la plantilla y aplicamos pega blanca extra fuerte en su parte interna.

• El círculo de color rosado lo sacaremos de la plantilla y con el dedo levantamos para formar un como largo, aplicaremos también pega por su parte interna para evitar que se mueva o se deforme.

• We’ll glue the two pieces together using extra-strong white glue to form the character’s body.

• For the hands, we’ll make small closed pink circles and shape them into cones.

• For the feet, we’ll also make two closed circles, but using green and pink ribbon, and shape them into two cones.

• Procedemos a unir ambas piezas con pega blanca extra fuerte, para formar el cuerpo del personaje.

• Para las manos realizaremos de pequeños círculos cerrados de color rosado, estos los moldearemos en forma de conos.

• Para los pies realizaremos también dos círculos cerrados, pero con cinta combinada verde y rosada, haremos 2 conos.

• Apply extra-strong white glue to the inside of the hand and foot pieces, then attach them to the character’s body as shown in the image.

• Make the flowers for Patricio’s pants by cutting them out of a piece of purple cardstock and gluing them in the appropriate places.

• Cut out the eyes from a piece of white paper, and the eyebrows and mouth from a piece of black cardstock; glue each piece onto the character’s face.

• Finally, paint the eye circles with black acrylic paint, using the thicker tip of a quilling tool.

>This completes this decorative figure of the character Patrick Star, from the SpongeBob SquarePants animated series, in the form of a 3D decorative figure, using the quilling technique.

• Tanto en las piezas de las manos y pies aplicaremos pega blanca extra fuerte en su parte interna, luego pegaremos al cuerpo del personaje tal y como pueden observar en la imagen.

• Realizaremos las flores del pantalón de Patricio, recortando de un trozo de cartulina morada, pegamos en los sitios correspondientes.

• Los ojos los recorte de un trozo de hija blanca, la cejas y la boca de un trozo de cartulina negra, pegué cada pieza en la cara del personaje.

• Para finalizar pinte los círculos de los ojos, con pintura al frío color negro, use un repujador por la punta más gruesa.

>De esta manera finalice esta figura decorativa del Personaje Patricio Estrella, de la serie animada de Bob esponja, en forma de una figura Decorativa en 3D, en la técnica de quilling.
