We're still heading towards the control grid because the media keeps this "virus" front and center and the sheeple keep following them. The control technology is too tempting, sexy, easy, fun and in some cases required. And "They" have lots of resources like "Think Tanks" and Billions of Dollars if not Central Banks at their disposal.

Face it, Covid-1984 is a brilliant boogyman. I'm in awe of it and in fear for my life because of it, at the same time but for different reasons than most.

It's brilliant because Karen and Mark are even afraid of their kid Joey now. They got rid of the dog last week. Karen was up all night, worried that 'Snookums', the friendly poodle of 12 years, would bring home the "covid" from the ~~mailman~~ er. Letter Carrier.. She couldn't sleep, so the dog's gone..

Afraid for my life! Because Mark is faster than me and he's one of those guys that would help chase me down and hold me while "They" vaccinate me "For my own good!".

I think we are in for a real challenge.

also look at accounts like haejin who farmed the pool for years and no one used their downvotes cause they'd lost curation rewards. That's why the EIP came to life and if we can't normalize downvotes (like on reddit/youtube) and keep thinking that any autovotes we get are instantly our money even though it clearly says "pending" we're not going to get far. Thanks for the witness unvote.

I stopped voting for haejin when I realized what he was doing. As a noob, I voted for him for the rewards. After I stopped upvoting him I didn't downvote him for fear of retaliation. That was back during the Great Voting Wars of 2018.

I think I understand your intentions of this downvote. Clearly I don't agree. I think in this instance you "judged the book by its cover" and didn't read any of it.

I am open to anything you have to say and if we can come to an understanding you can have my vote back.

You can get my attention by commenting, I was very open about my downvotes to @maxigan as well. It's pretty easy honestly, these authors posting conspiracy-ish content are getting very big autovotes so your debate about me not having watched every single video goes the other way as well cause the voters that vote this up at or before 5 minutes don't either. I don't think concentrating so much voting power and filling up trending with this genre alone all the time does well for the front-ends and ecosystem, even when putting aside the controversial nature of them. As I wrote in the maxigan thread my attention on the downvotes usually focuses on lack of engagement and views. If barely anyone saw his video even though it has been trending all day do you really believe it deserves all the autovotes it is getting? Over say authors and users that also use this platform as a social media platform and engage and build an engaging following instead of just sharing their work on as many platforms as possible?

Also $40 is not 40 hive, he'll still make $20 in post rewards from this and if he were to convert the hbd into hive that's easily 100 Hive.

I'm a big fan of the EIP, I did my best to try and deter profitable bid bot votes from existing and filling up trending, after that I went after closed voting circles that were autovoting a few users per day to try and get them to spread their votes out a bit (this partly also goes into vote-selling cause who knows what kind of deal happen backstage if only 3 authors who post many times per day get big autovotes) and the next step (even though this post would still be considered step 2) would be to use downvotes mainly for disagreement of rewards and authors and their readers are not supposed to take them personally. Imaging if we had the technology where votes and downvotes would be completely anonymous like they are on Reddit, how do you reckon the reaction of authors would be then?

The main point is that rewards are pending for a reason, by downvoting no one is directly profiting off of them (as people were suggesting in the previous thread) but sending the downvoted amounts back to the rewardpool to be distributed to everyone else equally. The 25% downvote pool exists now and is there for many reasons, if you don't agree then get him more votes. Anyway, hope that cleared up my reasons to the downvotes.
