When it comes to Korea, there's so much I can share. It's nothing new to me. I first encountered Korea when I was a kid... so if you ask me about my first impressions, I don't remember. K-Dramas, K-pop, and K-Webtoons have become part of my daily life. I'll tell you how I became a fan of all three...
Since when did I watch K-dramas?

When I was little, there was a TV station that broadcast K-dramas in the afternoon. As far as I remember, the first K-drama I watched was Autumn in my heart... we often called it Endless love. At that time I was still in elementary school and it was my favorite TV show. Then after it ended, there were several K-dramas after that... and I also liked them. I continued watching K-dramas until junior high school and my favorite drama at that time was Full House. As far as I remember after graduating from junior high school I never watched K-dramas again. But I started watching K-dramas again when I started working. At that time I no longer watched them on television channels, but I started buying pirated DVDs. It's embarrassing, but at that time the only way to watch K-dramas was to buy pirated DVDs. But that time is one of the things I can't forget... usually my roommate and I would stay up late to watch K-dramas on those pirated DVDs. Then, with the advent of the internet, there were many sites where you could download K-dramas... this made it easier for me to watch K-dramas. I don't go a day without watching a K-drama, so I've watched a lot of them. In recent years, watching K-dramas has become even easier... thanks to the many paid platforms that offer K-dramas, such as Viu, Netflix, and others.
When did I first get to know K-pop and become a K-poper?

I started to know Kpop in the second generation of kpop. T-ara is my favorite k-pop girl group and became the first k-pop group that I liked. But at that time I was not fully a K-poper. I didn't follow Kpop for a few years and was busy with other activities... but I still listened to kpop music especially songs from the band CN-Blue. Yes! they are my favorite Korean band. However, I still haven't become a k-poper. Then in 2016 I became interested in EXO after watching a movie starring EXO's member, Chanyeol. I started to find out about EXO and immediately liked their songs. Their first song that I listened to was the song "Monter" which had just been released. Since then I have become an EXO-L (Exo's fandom name) until today... and my bias has not changed, it is still Chanyeol.
When did I start reading K-Webtoon?

I forgot when I started reading K-webtoon. But as far as I remember... I started reading Webtoon long before I knew EXO. The first time I read Webtoon was when I saw my friend reading it and it seemed interesting... so I tried it and I was addicted. The first webtoon I read was Nobless and it's also my favorite webtoon. There are several other webtoon titles that I like... but now I rarely read webtoon because I'm busy with activities.
Because I love Korea so much, I even learned to read and write in Korean. I learned Hangeul from Google and memorized it in a day... and I learn Korean word by watching K-dramas and listening to K-pop song lyrics. Although it's not native,at least now I can understand a little when someone speaks Korean. Besides English, Korean is the foreign language I want to learn...
