So here's my current recording and gigging setup. It's pretty budget but still sounds great. I've been using this exact setup since around August of 2017. I've always been a gear head and love watching people show there setups. so here's mine!

The kit itself is a 4-piece Mapex Voyageur that i got around 5 years ago. With quality skins and sufficient tuning of the drums, it sounds great, despite it being an entry level kit.

I have a Evans EC2 Reverse Dot as my snare head. Great skin, very durable and easy to tune (although I still prefer traditional coated skins on the snare). On the toms I have Remo Emperor Clear skins, providing a very clear and articulate sound, making it great for rock and metal genres. The sticks i use range from 5B to Super 5A, depending on what I can get my hands on at the time.

The Evans EMAD kick heads are amazing! So little tuning to be done and you're good to go with a great sounding kick drum. Iv'e always had trouble getting a desired kick drum sound, but getting this skin sorted that out for me. I'm using a Mapex P800TW double kick pedal, and I'm super happy with it.

Moving on to the cymbals! I only play Zildjian cymbals at the moment and couldn't be happier with them!
This is a 16" A Custom Fast Crash (excuse the horrible, soul-tearing crack :'c ). It sounds great and has a very bright explosive sound. I'll probably be replacing this one soon for obvious reasons..

Next up I'm rocking the 18" Avedis Fast Crash. I LOVE this cymbal sooo much. It's great to wash on for those big choruses, explosive and loud for single hits and even works well as a little ride for some more stick-defining stuff. It has a much darker tone than my 16", providing great contrasting sounds.

These are the "black sheep" of my setup, I guess. A pair of 14" hats and a 20" ride, both from the ZHT range. They sound good from a budget point of view. Looking to upgrade them in the not too distant future :p

This is the newest addition to my setup, the Shure SE215 in-ear-monitors. These where the cheapest IEM i could get my hands on and they sound awesome! A very wide frequency range and solid sound isolation makes them perfect for the budget drummer. The only issue i run into is the buds slipping out as soon as I start sweating heavily, but I usually fiddle with them as I play to make sure they're in correctly and so on, so it's no biggy.

Ofcourse, no drum setup is complete without a cowbell! A bandmate of mine sold this to me for next to nothing, and It sounds pretty dope..

Great setup! Your post reads nicely, even though I don't know what you're talking about xD just check for those pesky typos before you post. Keep up the great content!

Really great pics of your setup! I bet the kit sounds great. I also had a 16 inch Zildjian A that cracked in a similar fashion. It sounded good for a few years even after it cracked. Once the crack got a little bigger than yours I had to replace.
