Hello friends,
There is a scamming ring (1k+ accounts) posting comments in my name promising 300 HIVE if you vote for me as a Hive witness. I NEVER EVER offered money for votes and never will.

The comments contain a phishing link, so DO NOT CLICK IT. It's common sense by now to never click any suspicious links, and to never believe posts/comments that promise a reward for anything. Please be vigilant and be safe.

easy solution makes clicks unclickable after downvote ( for frontends).

Would be massive noob protection and use "proof of brain".

legit links could get hurt too, but for that, there could be a "do you trust that author" kind of massage.

Absolutely no problem and I saw this and immediately thought what is going on because you'd never do this.

Looks like we have to educate all of the smaller accounts as quite a few of these small accounts keep getting hit with this scam.

We definitely need to figure out a way to deal with these individuals.

It's too bad we couldn't scam the scammers into coming and visiting me and having a long conversation about this in person.
