Please don't get demotivated by the decision of someone else. You can still be an amazing content creator and storyteller on Steem, independently from the choices others make in their lives.

I've seen many leaving during the past three years and it has never stopped me from doing what I love. Now I just personally lost the excitement for this place, but well that's me.

You gonna rock it. Keep those stories coming & keep on shining :-)

Well, I guess you do have a point. I wouldn't really stop , but it just doesn't feel the same when nearly all the people I've come to resonate with keep on leaving. Hopefully it won;t be like this for you forever, would be great to see you stopping by from time to time, but if not, we'll understand. What will happen to all the Steem projects you were pushing in real life?

People are leaving because the culture of Steem is changing. There is less emphasis on creating quality posts now unfortunately.

It harder and harder to get the attention with quality posts than it once was too.

@ned doesn't speak publicly any more and we were promised an SMT months ago.

But recently I have been doing quite well here so I don't know what to say.

We have SMT'S with Steem Engine so I don't find that quite a good enough reason to leave. I do however feel like the rewards not being forth coming could be a great factor for that. I have seen posts from back in the day earning as much as $5,000 to $10,000 without a bid bot boost. So I guess when you compare then to now, it doesn't seem that lucrative for someone who has been here for 3 years. Also like Sufermarly said, the feeling changes when all the people you once knew are no longer on the platform.

I told her about share2steem but she said she just lost passion for Steem. I don't understand it myself but I think people wanted more from Steem than what it currently provides, but for me I find it a fun platform, I can make some money and I meet cool people like yourself.

Yeah, I guess everyone has a different expectation and also, she's been here longer so it maybe not what it was for her when she began. We are basically noobs, let's see if we fell the same on the 3rd year :D

I’m really shot of words! @surfermarly has inspired me much here, she’s been someone that I always runs to for clarification of things about Steem. I’m personally going to miss her, but I’m sure that her reason for leaving Steem is something that worth it! We got priorities at every given time of our lives.

I resonate with the inspiration part for sure. Like I said,she was one of the ppl I also looked up to when I began on Steem. But as is life, things change, we adjust, but still, the loss can be felt. There's alot more ppl I have seen quit recently so that doesn't seem to help either.

i will never leave steemit. they are not true steemians.. just let them post there, where they will not get single penny of posting and sharing things.

Not everyone posts for the rewards, but still, they are here. When people are not finding value and fulfilment in a product or service, it's natural to let it go. Sad as it maybe, life happens to the best of us.

People are always going to come and go and it should be like a big deal if people take a break or quit for good! We have seen it before and I’m sure we will see it again, such is the nature of life! I think it’s just felt because it’s such a small community. If we had millions of active users like other platforms would we notice when someone leaves? I hardly think so!

I guess you have a point. I doubt people noticed I stopped using facebook come to think of it lol
But as will a small close nit community, we know nearly everyone there is to know. For some it's noticeable no matter the size of the community for what they do for it. As it is for Surfermarly. But like you said, such is life, we'll adjust and perhaps someone else else will take over and fill a void. All in all. aluta continua.

Lol, such strong words. It's not necessarily negative, people leave for their own reasons. Just like how you stop using certain services and products because they are not serving you any more/ That's how life is.

people who are posting i am leaving steem, i am leaving steem is surely negativity. This time steem facing many problems and this is not good time to share the post and leave steemit. steem is not just only community but it's like a family.
