She fell ill, needed funds to live
There is this pain that nevers goes away
It hurts all over and over again
Wondering what would have been

While I was away, he died
Cut so short, dreams unfulfilled
Reality harsh and brutal
The dead easily forgotton
Life on the move again

Words filled with care and concern
She found the courage to move on
No longer picks his calls
Life goes on despite the hurt and pain

She saw him and felt safe
Heard his voice and sighed
Realized she will always miss him
The soulmate she let go
With the thoughts of what would have been
Will she ever find another?

And can’t fully love it
