Eating plant based foods has a lot of advantages - feeling strong and energetic, being lean and vibrant, free from heart disease and diabetes and keeping a great karmic balance not killing our animal friends.
To get the health benefits that come with plant based foods we should strive to eat clean - minimize the amount of proccessed food and chemicals that we consume.
I usually eat very clean, the best way to describe my diet is _I don't eat things with ingredients, I eat ingredients__.
Last weekend, for an unknown reason (probably was to lazy to cook), I bought a frozen veggie burger.

As I was looking through the ingredients of this culinary masterpiece there was nothing alarming and I already had some good veggie burgers in restaurants.
I just thought to myself How bad can it be?
With the first bite, I remembered how I hate dressed up food - the burger did taste similar to a real burger, but there is no meat inside. What the fuck did these guys use to give it that taste?
And wasn't just the taste, the entire bouquet of heart burn, stomach heaviness and stinky gas followed the entire afternoon. They actually made a veggie burger that does exactly what meat does to your body.
Never eating that again.
The point of this story is that we should eat as much fresh and whole foods and stay away from the proccessed plant based foods they offer at the supermarket .
