Yes its true... steem blockchain has seen more users and most of these users are newbies and have not really understood that plagiarism is prohibited here, hence increasing the work for cheetah.

well, with the increase number of people joining Steemit everyday and most of them join with the wrong notion that Steemit is a get rich quick without making much effort. Most of these people find it hard to sit down and write a creative post on their own. Am not surprise that cheetah do reach her limit.

But what I would say is for all the old people who are inviting new members to the platform to take small time and educate the new people they brought on the need for creativity, determination and commitment. I got a comment on my post yesterday from cheetah. It was the first time it visited my blog. Yes the work was copied but with full reference of my source.

I felt it comment will cause some harm to my post or reputation but peeeeeeew it didn't.

The daily starts are there for everyone to see and it is glaring - more and more people are joining steemit, many posts are created in minutes and all together more and more contents are being created on the platform every minutes and cheetah certainly has a lot of work to do.

However, this one right here goes to the developers of the bot: Can you try tweaking the bots algo a little bit cus people are learning how to bypass it and also it is also commenting on posts it is not supposed to comment on - mostimes original contents that doesn't relate with the similar content she's talking about.?.

And oh! Maybe someone too can help in developing something else. Maybe leopard, lion or even tiger. Lol

Plagiarism is a problem, every new platform faces and have to deal with it somehow. I see many users C&P comments from quora and reddit to various posts on Steemit. 😴

The number of users are growing day by day which means more plagiarism because newbies come here when they see the insane amount of rewards many people are getting on this great platform.

They think that shortcut is the key and this is some "Get rich quick" scheme. 🔴 But they fail to understand that Steemit is much more than money paying arena. We don't have to fight and compete with each other. We should rather help each other and provide as much support and value we can.

Cheetah is doing a fabulous job to avoid this. And I hope minnows and new users will learn from this. Cheers @exyle and thanks for making this post.

Everyday people are joining steemit, it’s growing rapidly and even popular as the day goes by. The new people joining will get to learn about posting pretty soon just like I learnt when I first joined lol. In summary I’m glad more people are getting involved in the community everyday which is a good thing. We need the growth!!!

I suspect that in the next few months a lot of Youtubers, that are tired of Youtubes increasing censorship and decreasing payouts will get on Steemit. Many of which already have a middling to large follower base. And since those are professional content producers, they'll have an interest in keeping Steempower in their accounts, making the currency more valuable and probably more stable in the future.

In as much as cheetah's comment is not construed as an accusation of wrongdoing, contents creators must refrain from plagiarism of any kind. Extensive abuse of intellectual property rights might lead to litigations. The honorable thing to do is to acknowledge or give credit to the owner of copied works.

Although I am not a fan of plagiarism, it still helps grow the platform through the addition of content. So in a way it is still good news.

we need more bots like Cheetah, let us hope the creators will give her some little sisters to assist in the near future :)

With regards to @dan selling, I have no issue watching that. On the stock exchange, the large sellers are not always visible (until they pass though certain %'s) but here, we can just watch and see where the selling pressure is coming from.

If/When @dan is done selling, and this visible 'iceberg' is cleared, we should expect the price to steady and probably rise to the next level. Just my opinion.

Cheetah might downvote you for stealing the content too and then whales would also start flagging you.

Sounds like the busiest bots will have to soon become swarm accounts that have access to more than one account to post from in order to function. This is great news for the network and it's great that we have Cheetah to easily highlight content that has been copied from other sources.

Even though cheetah should be checked every now and then, its good that she is there (i call her a her hahah). Just for the most common plagiarizing she is alwas effective, but has some flaws.

The fact that she is on her limit is good! The growth is good, and people need to rethink on what 'our' options as a board are for by the time SMTs are out, and steemit.com will even be found more and more. Keep up with the growth!

Sir, I wonder what steps you take to distribute your steemit posts to attract audience? I've been pushing my links to FB and Twitter, but that's dragging in viewers that don't belong to Steemit. I'd like to attract the more valuable Steemians, of course. Any suggestions?

I wonder how IP and copyright will be treated on blockchain, especially when people can earn money from IP you don't own.

My friend just got cheetah comment on one of her post. At that time I thought it was dangerous, and I believe yes it is. Interestingly you just mentioned that "This is not an acusation of wrongdoing, but merely an informative comment for the reader." My question is does this cheetah will downgrade our reputation or may be the upvote rewards?

When i last checked cheetah had responded to atleast 1500 posts. All of these posts were copy pastes from the internet. Even the account's that did that looked like bots. I think they were doing that to earn rewards by using as many accounts as possible and by posting as much content as possible.
Cheetah responding to as many as over 4000 posts proves that there are many people who are trying to copy paste and plagiarize content here. We certainly need to stop them because plagiarism could be a threat to our community. We need authentic content so that other's can take us seriously. We need good content so that we grow as a platform in the long run.
