Vlog 200: 2.5 million SBD's were created in the last 30 days bringing the total supply to 7 million + Celebrating vlog #200.

In the last 30 days, roughly 2.5 million SBD's were created (through content creation) bringing the total supply of SBD to 7 million.

That is a lot of extra SBD's compared to the total supply.

The reason for this is, of course, the increase in STEEM price.

I expect the market will soon be flooded with SBD's bringing down the price.

That's what logic would suggest at least.

I talk about it more in my vlog @6.25.

My first vlog.

Today is a special day for me. This will be my 200th vlog for Steemit.

I made my first vlog on May 12, 2017.

It was a completely new direction for me since I joined in July 2016.

I actually hid this vlog inside another post because back then I thought that it might damage my blog if I changed the direction of my blog.

Such silly thinking in the end but that's how we learn.

I would recommend anyone to always create what you enjoy creating and try new things too.

Congrats on your 200th vlog, I knew that SBD would eventually be pegged to a lower figure of $1 as stated, which is why I told everyone that they should power up instead of holding on to their SBD. Ever since the initial SBD pump, people were calling me crazy in saying that SBD wouldn't increase. Well, as of now, Steem is trading at $5.81 and SBD at $6.26. The gap has closed and eventually SBD will continue to further drop as it should, while Steem will increase as it should!

Its mind blowing to see the amount of success you had on steemit in just 6-7 months. It's doesn't really happen anywhere else. Giving up your old established business and joining steemit full time, in itself speaks volume. Specially given the fact that steemit is a completely new platform and no one knows if it is going to stay or not.

As per what you are saying, the more people write, the more sbds are created. With presence of more SBD's the price will eventually go down to Dollar One. I think those who are thinking of forking to peg SBD to Dollar one should take a note of this. I think they should let the price of SBD come down naturally.

I think that despite the creation of the new steem the price shouldn't move around too much unless there is an overall market sell off. What would concern me the most with steem would be how well steemit does moving forward. I'm hopeful but they do have some imbalances to work out.

Congratulations on your 200th vlog. I the increase in SBD volume shows clearly that the mechanism we have right now works. Keep everything as it is - this is happening only once, it will revert back to 1SBD and then it will stay relatively pegged to the USD. I am sure. If you wanted to speed thing up you would allow people to freely chose their payout ratio - this would increase SBD inflation even more.

Was just mentioning that your success is well deserved on a @doctojohn post. You have a great way of presenting information that allows the average person to understand it and those that have a grasp on the concepts to gain value.

I am much more of a reader vs watcher, but only because it's so much faster to read then listen. It's great that you point out topics from your vlogs so I know when to take the time and watch. Any plans to allow vlogs to be set up as podcasts? Would be cool to take some with me and listen in the car. Download at home and then play anywhere. Or maybe that is there and I just don't realize it.

Think that at only 7 million SBD it really isn't that many considering the number of new members that have signed up and the amount that are starting to view the SBD as an investment and holding vs dumping it right away.
