Out of the 3 things I have done with my SBD in the last weeks buying STEEM was by far the best one.
Since yesterday the price of STEEM has gone up around $2 when the Weiss Ratings news hit.
If you don't know yet, Weiss Ratings is an agency that has rated 75 cryptocurrencies and STEEM is in the top 5.
This is great news.
Of course, we already knew that this Blockchain is amazing. (3-second block times, no fees, scalable...just to name of few) but for investors not sure what to invest in this rating gives confidence in the blockchain and that's incredibly important.
There are so many different projects out there and this rating will act as an investment guide.

You are absolutely right, the merits and advantages of Steem are obvious already for many people, transactions without commission, better bandwidth and scalability and the most important advantage, in my opinion, is the possession of social network functions based on the blockchain, which makes our ecosystem much more popular and demandable among ordinary people! Yes, you are totally right. This is my long term goal on steem, First i need to get to 100SBD and 100 Steem Power, then i'll add them all to SP and go on to the next goal

STEEM is a solid project, there are still some stuff the witnesses need to address, like for example the lack of bandwidth that some of the minnows get when steemit is full of people, at night i get 3mb bandwidth in the morning i get 80kb of bandwidht, yesterday i had 4 comments waiting to be posted but i couldn't because of the lack of bandwidth...
I think the price will shot up in 2018, especially since the "adult industry" is going to hop in with Vice, adult industry is one of the things that made the internet grow like crazy

steemit.com is here to stay, however because of the ICO's, Bitcion, Ether, Altcoin, Exchanges, WALLETS craze more and more users are getting interested. And specially not to forget "BLOCKCHAIN" this is the main source of technology in which all are jumping in.
Steemit is sure to be $10 very soon!

I did look at he ratings, and it is my core belief that right now, becasue of the complexities there is no way for any authority to rate crypto, but I like the attempt and concept. I am impressed by how they rated doge, because yes, I like Doge, and have always inferred them to be safe, they just have a great, no strings attached, friendly and fun community that have delivered fundraising projects, this it cannot be pumped! as you can see, cannot shill doge.

The weiss rating is still bullshit giving lots of uncompetitive altcoins high ratings for no reasons.
also crypto has no regulation, hence Weiss rating can do what they want and upgrade downgrade whoever, with their own incentive to cause short term bubbles, no one would know as no investor is disclosed and institutional trading cant be tracked on crypto trading

in my recent post about why i love steemit and steemians i did reiterate using what my people usually say that if you play any tune in a compound of a great man, there is always someone to dance to it. steemit has good, bad, ugly and when money is involved, the humn nature as you rightly pointed out sets in. but hey, its also good for the system to point out the ills and fight it out so we become the best we are destined to be as steemians. heading to your blog. great comment
