Today I want to show how to give another design to a jean shorts that I had, and that I had stopped using, because it was torn on one side, although it wasn't much, I had saved it and wanted to make it a wider waistband, because it was too short, although That's how I always used it.

I wanted to do something different with flannel fabric, a perfect combination for a jean, since today the combinations between fabrics for any garment is adaptable with a good creation.

I show you what I did with pieces of micro peach fabric, it's like flannel, but more flexible.

My materials:

jean shorts
Scraps of printed and unicolor fabric.
Scissors, needles, tape measure, thread, sewing machine.

First, I had already removed the waistband from these pants, and I cut or separated the parts on the sides, so that it would fit me well, because if I put the flannel fabric on it, it would be too big for me, so I cut 4 centimeters, and the length too.

I cut two strips of 6cm wide by the desired length, I also cut the waistband that is wide, tie the fabric and on the inside I put another blue fabric, to obtain the width, combine with this fabric because the flower print was very little.

Then I start by sewing the strip on the sides, with the straight seam and then the zig-zag, along the edges. And after sewing the two strips, I end up closing the whole pants.

Now I start to glue the waistband, this strip is wide and I close it all to be able to sew it to the pants.
I divide it into four parts and press with the pins, this waistband has to be narrower than the size of the pants, because as it is flannel fabric I stretch it when sewing it on the machine.

I sew carefully so that it looks good, and then I also made its zig-zag, so that the jean fabric does not spin.

Having these parts ready, I proceed to make the hem, but before I made a small curve cut on the sides, because I wanted it that way, then I start to sew about 1cm of fold.

I did not remove the zipper that it had on these pants, since it was not necessary, that way it looks better.
And this is how this bermuda or short combined with this printed fabric that I like a lot, and I loved how this new design turned out.

Buen día y feliz inicio de una nueva semana con las bendiciones en cada uno, buena salud y armonia para todos. Hoy quiero mostrar como darle otro diseño a un bermuda de jean que tenia, y que habia dejado de usar, porque estaba roto de un lado, aunque no era mucho lo habia guardado y queria hacerle una pretina más ancha, porque era demasiado bajita, aunque así siempre lo usé.

Le quise hacer algo diferente con tela de franela, una combinación perfecta para un jean, ya que hoy en día las combinaciones entre las telas para cualquier prenda de vestir es adaptable con una buena creación.

Te enseño lo que hice con retazos de tela de microdurazno, es como de franela, pero más flexible.

Primero ya habia quitado la pretina a este pantalón, y corte o separe las parte de los lado, para que me quedara bien, porque si le ponia la tela de franela me iba a quedar grande, entonces corte 4 centimetros, y de largo tambien.

Corto dos tira de 6cm de ancho por el largo deseado, igualmente corto la pretina que quede ancha, empate la tela y por la parte de adentro le puse otra tela azul, para obtener el ancho, combine con esta tela porque la estampada de flores era muy poco.

Luego empiezo cosiendo la tira de los lados, con la costura recta y luego el zig-zag, por las orillas. Y después de coser las dos tiras, termino por cerrar todo el pantalon.

Ahora empiezo a pegar la pretina, esta tira es ancha y la cierro toda para poder coserla al pantalon.
La divido en cuatro partes y prenso con los alfileres, esta pretina tiene que ser más angosta que el tamaño del pantalon, porque como es tela de franela la voy estirando al momento de coserla en la máquina.

Voy cosiendo con cuidado para que vaya quedando bien, y luego le hago tambien su zig-zag, para que no se hilache la tela de jean.

Teniendo estas partes listas, procedo hacerle el ruedo, pero antes en los costados le hice un pequeño corte de curva, porque así lo queria, entonces empiezo a coser como 1cm de doblez.

A este pantalon no le quite el cierre que tenia, ya que no era necesario, así queda mejor.
Y asi quedó este bermuda o short combinado con esta tela estampada que me gusta mucho, y me encanto cómo quedo este nuevo diseño.
