Hi,
It's... @empoderat from another account.
I have decided to take the (scary?) step of doxing myself (after... 8 years onchain, just WOW how time flies)
My name is Ferran.

That's me, chilling a few days after HiveFest '22 in Amsterdam.
Why now though?
Frankly a few reasons.
"I want to get back to writing" it's one of them.
I've realized that it's harder for me if I can't talk about everyday life; something I find harder from an anon account. I'd like to talk a little more about myself more often, what moves me, and be able to share deep thoughts in a more natural way.
Oh, and just a heads up that a good chunk of my content might end up being in Spanish.
The name "ferranlogs" comes from a reference to a journal.
I think I will have a much better chance of growing with a new format than trying to adapt the old one.
In the end it's not only about "growing", it's also about finding inner peace, something I've found writing does wonders. I talk a lot with my inner self. Do you? writing is another form of self-introspection.
I Need a Full Reset
Iv'e always said that my relationship with HIVE is a love and hate one.
And I'm currently into a bit of the second. I don't like how the chain is progressing in the financial and marketing side of things (and I haven't really gotten very involved in it, to be honest.) so I'm currently into a full powerdown on my main account.
After many months of frustration, I've given up and decided to "let it be". I'm honestly tired of worrying about things that extends far and wide outside of my control.
Hive has been one of those rare occasions when I bet too much on an idea I believed in strongly, disregarding the most basic rules of capital management. Lesson learned though.
So.. whatever. Let it be as I said.
You know those times when you feel that you need to throw everything out the window and start over again? That's one of them.

I'll probably be moving most of my activity from my formerly account @empoderat slowly into this one.
It's also an interesting time to see how many of my (850?) followers here are still active. You're reading this and want to keep contact with me? Follow me and I'll follow you back (If I recognise you, ofc).
My project Power Ventures continues as usual.
In any case, I may change the format of the monthly reports and, instead of publishing them directly on Hive, send an email to holders upon request. (more on this later, I still have details to work out).
Thanks for reading!
🌄 Good morning (here)! ☕
It was interesting to find this post in my feed, as I begin my day. You are somewhat well known to me, as we have corresponded a bit directly elsewhere.
> "... disregarding the most basic rules of capital management."
Understood. Well understood, in fact, although I had my version of the same basic problem. And what is that?

Acknowledging this far later than was financially prudent. 🙄🤷♂️ I wish I had captured the above then, but ... I have begun to capture it since ... #293 (3 Apr 2025) ...
With that said ...
> "... it's also about finding inner peace, something I've found writing does wonders. I talk a lot with my inner self. Do you? writing is another form of self-introspection."
... there is no question part of the appeal of any OGs generating content for the Steem Hive blockchain is something greater than a narrow focus on being a prudent investor.
I wish you well in your new adventures "in here." I enjoy reading your content. It sounds like it is about to become even more interesting. As I hope your studies have ended well, all the best to you for a better tomorrow! 🫡🤝
Thanks for the kind words, my dear Rob :)
Reading you brought me a nice smile.
As I explained in the post, I needed to break away from that phase and emotional attachment, put aside purely speculative/economic interests (nothing wrong with them) and simply enjoy Hive for what it is and not for what it could be.
It was killing me.

I have finished my studies and have started working as a Junior Systems Analyst at a multinational company. I am learning so much! The corporate career is suiting me well.
I have lost ~22 pounds in the last year, I sleep better, and I exercise. My partner has just opened a restaurant in town, we have a busy but happy life.
I would like to have one or two children, but that's still a few years away. We need to continue stabilizing our current situation.
Thank you for your kind words.
Good afternoon, my friend!
I am very happy that you want to embark on a new direction. I confess that “forcing” myself to write something about myself, or about something I heard on a podcast, or about a thought that came to me is therapeutic, and keeps me focused on what is important.
So often we are led to believe that productivity and proactivity are all about achieving maximum output and being very prolific.
I notice, however, that keeping a journal forces me to see things differently. It forces me to focus more on what really matters. Even if sometimes what matters is not positive. That's also part of it. There's no harm in not always being at 100%. That's what makes us more human. That's our true magic and our real advantage over machines or automation.
I hope to be able to follow your posts on your new profile. I confess that I am excited to learn a little more about your thoughts and ideas. You certainly have a lot to offer, regardless of whether you do so in your native language or in English.
Fortunately, nowadays, there are many tools to help those who are not so fluent in Spanish.
A big hug from your friend, O.!
> Moving account seems hella scary, I'm somewhat tempted since I'd kinda would like my actual handle/account name to be the same as everywhere else on the internet after I 'rebranded' a while back.
It is, but over the long term is much better imho, early you make the switch, early you reap the benefits.
> I was worried about grinding the witness ranks again on a new account but then again.. I don't really need to change the witness account as such so maybe I could shift accounts.
You can always use a different account exclusively for the witness node. That's how I do it myself. In that case the ideal is to let your actual account as the witness and start creating the new content on the other.
Over time your fanbase will notice, and you'll filter a lot of old accounts too.
If I can help you in any way/advise you on the process, you can also contact me on Discord if you want. Oh, and I still need to vote for your witness (I don't have the my active key handy right now).
cheers sir!
