I'm sitting here trying to work on my computer but am not getting too far mostly because I have to use the trackpad on the laptop rather than the mouse. Why? Cleo has inserted herself right next to me where the mouse would usually go. I don't mind.
One of the best parts of my life is Cleo, my little cat, and she's never any trouble to me...even when she's sometimes a little trouble like pressing buttons on my computer with her face as she naps. Having these moments are important as I know that one day I'll not have her around to spend these moments with me. It makes me sad but that's the reality so I make the most of my time with her.
Sometimes I see people wasting moments that could be, and should be, more valued and even cherished. An example is a parent staring into their phone on Facebook while their kids play at the playground rather than engaging with the kids. Sure, a simple moment and there'll be many more but what if there isn't? I wonder if that parent would look back with regret.
I'm not inclined to set myself up for potential regrets later especially considering that I one hundred percent know that my time with Cleo is limited. It's the same with other things; I'm pragmatic, a realist, and know that nothing is forever so I remain as engaged as I can.
I wonder what you'll regret?

It’s so important to be fully present in every moment of our lives, to be there, to pay attention, to live them to the full, those moments never come round again. Cleo looks lovely, and the best thing of all is to enjoy her as much as possible. I do the same with Cata and Tony; they’ll be turning 14 this year.
At my age, I pay attention to the little things; I don’t want to have any regrets. I don’t know how long I’ll be in this world, nor do I know how long the people I love and my little kittens will be here. Quality is very important.
I have a couple of snaps where I'm trying to work on my laptop in bed (a situation that occasionally happens if the neck/shoulder injury gets too bad and sitting up hurts) and there's just CAT in my face because one of them has decided I'm a great spot to curl up XD

But that's their quiet time that they finally get to spend mindlessly scrolling!
I donno I didn't always engage with the kids at the playground (sometimes they wanted me to play but most of the time they were happy to play with each other or their friends depending on whether we were out on our own or at homeschool group or catching up with people) but I was

because Youngest.
I regret a lot of things but can't do anything about them now so I just try not to regret things later.
Please give Cleo some extra pats and scritches from me, she's so cute!

I remember, it was maybe a year ago... Almost a whole week there wouldn't be a single letter from you.
@galenkp , I want to believe that you just took a short break from online activities and that you retreated to some nature, where you neither have internet nor the need to be here every day.
I want to believe that, because otherwise I might think that Cleo ate you 🙂
Hmm, the last photo you posted was with a cat, and what do I know, it doesn't seem like a dangerous animal, but still, it has claws 🙂
