I'm going to confess right here and now, doing household chores isn't something I enjoy.
It can't be retracted now.
That doesn't mean I don't do them though and certainly doesn't mean I'm not good at doing household chores...although me and bed-making don't get along very well at all. I clean bathrooms though and I have to say I'm bloody good at that! (Only my own though, I'm not the fucken bathroom cleaning fairy.)
I enjoy living in a tidy and clean home and because I'm fairly structured in my thinking there's a place for everything and everything needs to be right there in its place...mostly. I also don't like clutter and have a reasonably minimalistic approach to my home because clutter drives me bonkers. Having said that, there's far too many cushions in my house...I blame my girlfriend.

My girlfriend and I tidy and do chores in small ways more often rather than letting things pile up and having to spend a whole day on it and we have a few habits that help our house stay looking clean and tidy for longer. We don't obsess about it, but having little habits like putting something back in it's place when done with it, cleaning up straight after dinner, running the cordless vacuum over the floor in a room per day and other such things help make the time we have work better.
What's your approach to house chores?
Do you save it up and spend a whole day doing it, use methods to keep things in a good state so cleaning days are shorter? Do you live like a pig and don't care? Do you share chores with your partner or pay a cleaner? If you want to comment on the topic do so below in the comments section.

Usually we keep most of them for the weekend, during the week we are both back home pretty late and then the kid needs to eat very early so there is no time... Split in 50-50% each, as it just seems fair, and we do what we have to do, like vacuum, sort clothes, wash etc... I also like things to be back on their place so you know they are always there
Lovely that kitchen island in marble... And curious how there is no TV in the living room, I never seen one without
Yeah, I also would like less chores time on weekend, so spreaded more in the week, but really no time...
Oh it makes sense, if you have enough space, why not? I like the idea as while eating, doing some talk would be ideal... Here I think I never seen a house with a TV on its own room, everyone place it in the kitchen or near the table where you eat

I love your practical, low-stress approach to choresโsmall habits like daily mini-cleans and putting stuff away right away keep things tidy without the big overwhelm.
Spot on about clutter being bonkers
Me? I'm all about the "touch it once" rule: handle it immediately (dishes after eating, clothes in hamper/closet, quick wipe-downs).
We split chores evenly with my partner,no cleaner, but we do one room deep-clean weekly to stay ahead.Have a great day.

Minimalist for me as well, but hubs still in training, I have to constantly kick his butt to put things away. The only place I don't care is his study, he's got so much junk on his desk I just turn a blind eye.
Putting away stuff is easy, as everything has its hiding place at home, cleaning is the tough part. We always clean the kitchen after every meal because Chinese cooking can get messy, if we leave it for a couple of days, it gets difficult to clean. The vacuum robot helps, at least psychologically. It can never replace a good proper mop and I'm still supposed to do every one or two weeks, but I'm just too lazy.
My motto ...if I can't see it, then it's ok
