I likes to venture into things outside of my field of study. presently am also working as a fashion designer at Lincoln fashion designs where l make dresses for male. This part of me is often misconstrued by other who think of nothing relating a civil engineering student to fashion. Well, this is not absolutely true because of some reasons.
First of all, application of some of measurement and unit conversion skills acquired from engineering knowledge is very useful in understanding the measurement used in sewing. Also methods in civil engineering are also very applicable in sewing, for instance, we are taught how to design and prepare members of a system according to use of the system such that at construction, every unit that makes up the system pieces up to into one piece. This too is very applicable in sewing. Consider a typical dress, every unit of that dress prior to joining is usually design to meet the individuals body dimensions individually so that at joining, all the units will piece up to be a dress, the replication of methods in civil engineering.
just as i like to try my hands on other things most times i make makes and i kind of like it because they carry inherent lessons that in other wise boost experience. Apart from this i always strive for excellence and this has been my driving force in everything i find to do.
