Hoy tengo el gusto de compartir con ustedes un logro muy importante para un miembro de la familia, porque sí, prácticamente somos familia. Se trata de la graduación como Magister Scientiarum en Ingeniería de Gas de mi querida amiga Roslyn. Desde que tomó la decisión de continuar su formación profesional, he sido testigo de todo el esfuerzo, el sudor y las lágrimas que le costó alcanzar su objetivo, y nunca la oí decir que iba a rendirse, así que admiro mucho su determinación 🥳.

It’s about my dear friend Roslyn’s graduation with a Master of Science in Gas Engineering. Ever since she decided to continue her professional education, I’ve witnessed all the effort, sweat, and tears it took her to reach her goal, and I never once heard her say she was going to give up, so I really admire her determination 🥳.

Para lograr este avance en su carrera, tuvo que hacer muchos sacrificios. En primer lugar, la inversión de dinero fue considerable y, siendo cabeza de familia y sobreviviendo a la situación económica del país, créanme que fue un gran esfuerzo. Lo bueno de invertir en uno mismo es que es imposible perder, así que sé que, si Dios le regala vida, podrá disfrutar de los frutos en un futuro cercano.
> To achieve this career advancement, he had to make many sacrifices. First of all, the financial investment was considerable, and as the head of the household struggling to make ends meet in the country’s current economic climate, believe me, it was a huge effort. The good thing about investing in yourself is that you can’t lose, so I know that, if God grants him life, he’ll be able to enjoy the rewards in the near future.

Luego está la inversión de tiempo. La vi tantas veces corriendo de un lado a otro para entregar todo a tiempo, porque también trabaja. Se sometía a situaciones de estrés que, en ocasiones, afectaron a su salud. Por eso, diría que ese fue el sacrificio más importante. Lo increíble es que, llegado el gran día, parece que todo lo vivido fue en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, como si hubiera sido ayer. Pero bueno, para nosotros es muy importante poder disfrutar con ella en un día tan especial.
> Then there’s the time commitment. I saw her so many times rushing back and forth to get everything done on time, because she works too. She put herself through stressful situations that sometimes took a toll on her health. That’s why I’d say that was the biggest sacrifice. The amazing thing is that, when the big day finally arrived, it felt like everything she went through happened in the blink of an eye, as if it were yesterday. But anyway, it’s very important for us to be able to enjoy this special day with her.

Después de la ceremonia de entrega de medallas, no podíamos dejar de celebrar su logro, así que fuimos a un restaurante chino muy popular en la ciudad a almorzar. Pedimos un menú familiar que incluía arroz frito con pollo, verduras salteadas con pollo y lumpias, y la verdad es que estaba todo riquísimo, además de que quedamos más que satisfechos con la cantidad.
> After the medal ceremony, we just had to celebrate his achievement, so we went to a very popular Chinese restaurant in town for lunch. We ordered a family-style meal that included fried rice with chicken, stir-fried vegetables with chicken, and spring rolls, and honestly, everything was delicious—plus, we were more than satisfied with the portion sizes.

Le deseo mucho éxito a mi amiga en esta nueva etapa y espero que la bendición, la guía y la corrección amorosa de Dios la acompañen siempre para que siga creciendo espiritual, personal y profesionalmente. Esto es un ejemplo de que, cuando se quiere, se puede, y que, a pesar de las circunstancias, siempre podemos dar lo mejor de nosotros mismos. Hoy celebro con mucha alegría en mi corazón.
