Partridge Sky(Zhou Zizhi)
>When the lamp is going to burn out, the room surrounded by screens is full of the cool autumn air.
>In the dead of night, the rain beat against on the leaves of Chinese parasol tree, the rhythm of every rain drop reminds me of the pain of his departure.
>Once a time we plucked at the expensive Se (Se is an ancient Chinese twenty-five-stringed plucked instrument), while poking the censer from time to time, and sang a sweet love song--Zhe Gu Tune(Zhe Gu is the name of Partridge in Chinese) together happily.
>However, now in this stormy night, staying in the west-wing building lonely, I am so grevious that I can't help shedding tears even if without any song of 'Long Missing' in my ear.
鹧鸪天 （周紫芝）
>一点残红欲尽时，乍凉秋气满屏帏。
梧桐叶上三更雨，叶叶声声是离别。
>调宝瑟，拨金猊，那时同唱《鹧鸪词》。
如今风雨西楼夜，不听清歌也泪垂。
1.红: 灯 2. “梧桐”两句: 来自温庭筠的词《更漏子》: “梧桐雨，三更雨，不道离情正苦。一叶叶，一声声，空阶滴到明。”用梧桐夜雨来描写相思别离之苦。3.金猊: 一种象狻猊的香炉。狻猊，猛兽名。
[鉴赏] 这首《鹧鸪词》集中体现了周(紫芝)妙语天成、清丽婉曲的风格。上下阙今昔对比，照应繁富，时空转换灵活多变，意境清丽疏淡，抒情却回环婉妙。
上阙直接从西楼秋夜的一点残灯写起。“欲尽时”点明这是夜深人静时分，“乍凉秋气满屏帏”的“满”与“欲尽时”的“尽”相对应，更能写出主人公夜静灯残孤枕难眠秋凉人心的真实感受。开篇两句既描写了居所的客观环境，又渲染了人物的主观心境，两者相融合一。
空间由室内推移至室外，“梧桐叶上三更雨，叶叶声声是离别。”这是化用温庭筠的《更漏子》:“梧桐树，三更雨，不道离情正苦。一叶叶，一声声，空阶滴到明。”梧桐夜雨点点滴滴声不断，秋雨声声更增添了心头的凉意、别离的伤痛。至此，诗人方点出“别离”相思的主题，也补充交代了秋凉似水的真正原因，为下阙内容的过渡蓄势。
下阙从忆昔起笔，重在抒发别愁离恨。“调宝瑟，拨金猊，那时同唱《鹧鸪词》。”回想当年，两人在宝琴的伴奏下，在拨炉焚香的一片温馨里轻声同唱《鹧鸪词》，心情多么欢畅甜美。
《鹧鸪词》是表达爱恋之意的歌曲，鹧鸪双飞双栖，故以之相喻。重温往日旧梦本是为了驱逐秋夜寒凉，慰藉心头孤寂，不料“如今风雨西楼夜”，笔锋一转，时空瞬间转换，才想起往日的欢聚，又被猛然拉回到冷酷的现实，同时又将“那时”的聚首欢愉与“如今”的形单影只形成强烈的对比，使人不得不怅叹往日的欢情已逝，往昔的“清歌”也只能成为心头余音袅袅的回响了。“不听清歌也泪垂”，自别后处在这满耳是雨打残夜的秋声的西楼秋夜，不用听那《鹧鸪词》的歌曲，也多少回黯然神伤，泪如雨下。
