This is the Hebrew of Genesis the very beginning of the Bible. It is pronounced be-re-SHIYT ba-RA eh-lo-HIYM and is usually translated "In the beginning God created. The first word (reading right-to-left) is be-re-SHIYT. It is from the Hebrew root resh-aleph-shin, meaning "head, start, beginning," with the preposition bet on the front, meaning "in, on, at." So this word could be translated "in beginning" or "at start" or "at the head." The Hebrew name for the Jewish holiday Rosh HaShanah is from this same root, and means "head of the year" or "beginning of the year" -- Ha is the definite article "the" and Shanah is "year." The second word is ba-RA, meaning create, shape or fashion. It is from the Hebrew word bet-resh-aleph.
So a word-for-word translation might be "in-beginning created God

splendid analysis I never actually knew in the beginning could also be start, root or at the end it means the word can be used loosely when reading text that has beginning in Hebrew language.

The dtube video is ceasing from my end, it's playing a little and stopping as well, you can always add a YouTube version or upload to DLIVE as well @hebrew. I tried identifying the consonants but I'm still learning to, it's been long I missed your lessons but I'm still catching up, I guess removing the arrows means upping the learning process.
I tried I guess I did well reading, thank you for teaching @hebrew.

I need to learn this language in order i need to read the bible in the hebrew language that is my wish Sir but i think i need to start learning From A B C maybe thats hard for me

As difficult Hebrew for me is, this one is very easy to understand. Along with other things I have already learned such as English using multiple words unlike Hebrew does and so on. This one is very easy to remember. Hebrew is beautiful and artistic language, but very difficult to learn and write at the same time.

A weekly greatly valued lesson of Hebrew. It is definitely useful to understand the bible better and have a few words standby if we ever visit Israel. It is really one of the favourite place for visit by my church where each year we have organised many trips and it is still very popular with high subscription for the Israel tour to see and experience the different bible histories at different places of Israel. Hebrew is a oldest and beautiful langauage and when its comes from an expert like you its very interesting to learn and easy to understand...The sound rule of Hebrew is quite different but once we learn we can pronounce others language words more fluently due to practice of Hebrew Prounciation...Its not easy to learn but not even hard if I have some one like you to teach...It was very helpful for learning and am still trying to learn it....Keep on posting and teaching us @hebrew

Great lesson! I can see now the difference between the light and the darkness. English obviously uses much more prepositions than Hebrew. I can see now that word “vav” can have a more meaning such as “and, on, in”. I can also see Hebrew uses one word instead of English using multiple words.

The ancient language is awesome,learning something new sir,thank you so much sir.

It is generally agreed by historians that Jesus and his disciples primarily spoke Aramaic (Jewish Palestinian Aramaic), the common language of Judea in the first century AD, most likely a Galilean dialect distinguishable from that of Jerusalem. Hebrews were nomadic people.

The Hebrew bible is the one without all those translations, GNB....etc that just about seem to give different versions!

If so, i am getting hold of it. I haven't cared to do that before as, well, How would i understand the language. But i guess your project here to translate to English is worthwhile.
